Master of Theology (M.Th.): What is it About?

Candidates wishing to pursue Master of Theology (M.Th.) course must have completed 10+2 with Humanities or Arts as main subjects. For Graduation, Bachelor of Theology is preferred, though other stream members are also welcome. The primary aspect seen for commencing this program is the zeal and enthusiasm to learn about God and Religion, its meaning, its preaching’s and so on.

The course is taught through core lectures, classes, and supervision meetings. You will have the opportunity to attend a wide variety of lectures, talks, and seminars. The supervisor will in most cases be the course coordinator for the specific subject stream of the Master in Theology that you are enrolled on. They will provide support and guidance and an overall direction for your course.

The degree is awarded on the basis of several short essays and a dissertation of up to 15,000 words and a written examination, which may require a demonstration of linguistic competence according to your field of study. Master of Theology (M.Th.): Career Prospects

Students who complete Master of Theology (M.Th.) degree, enter a variety of careers all around the world. Over half of those who gain an M. Th or M.Phil proceed to further, usually doctoral study. Most of the others secure employment as, for example, school teachers, civil servants, or parliamentary research assistants, or go on to work with non-governmental organizations or in the media and journalism. The aim of the course is to enable students to:
