CMRUAT 2027 Eligibility Criteria

You must meet the eligibility criteria set by CMR University before applying for CMRUAT 2027. The criteria differ by program. Read your program’s requirement carefully before submitting the form.

Eligibility for B.Tech Programs

• You must have passed Class 10+2 from a recognised board (CBSE, ICSE, or any State Board).
• Your Class 12 subjects must include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
• Minimum aggregate marks required: 45% in Class 12.
• Students appearing in Class 12 in 2027 can apply on a provisional basis. Admission will be confirmed after final results.

CMRUAT is based entirely on the Class 11 and 12 curriculum. Your board exam preparation covers most of what you need. These tips help you use that foundation effectively for the CMRUAT 2027 exam.

For B.Tech Aspirants (PCM)

• Start with NCERT: CMRUAT questions are largely NCERT-level. Complete every chapter, including the in-text exercises and end-of-chapter problems. This alone covers a large part of the paper.
• Weight Class 12 over Class 11: More than half the questions come from Class 12 chapters. Finish Class 12 first, then revise Class 11 in the remaining time.
• Physics numericals: Mechanics, Electricity, and Modern Physics have the most calculation-based questions. Practise at least 20 numericals per chapter from each of these areas.
• Chemistry — three equal parts: Physical Chemistry needs numerical practice. Organic Chemistry requires regular revision of reactions. Inorganic Chemistry is mostly memorisation — revise it in the last two weeks before your session.
• Mathematics: Calculus (Derivatives and Integrals), Algebra, and Coordinate Geometry together form the largest share. Solve KCET and COMEDK previous-year papers — they are the closest in difficulty to CMRUAT.
