Jharkhand Polytechnic 2019 is a state level entrance exam that is conducted by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB). It can also be referred to as Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination (PECE) 2019.

Jharkhand Polytechnic 2019 Eligibility

Prior to the commencement of online application process, it is necessary for the candidates to check the Jharkhand Polytechnic 2019 eligibility criteria. They need to fulfill the pre-requisites to attempt the examination.

Given below are various factors on which the eligibility of a candidate depends upon:

On the basis of Academic Qualification

  • Candidate must have passed the secondary/10th or equivalent examination with a minimum of 35% marks.
  • Candidates appearing for secondary/10th or equivalent examination are also eligible, subject to passing the examination before commencement of Counselling process.

On the basis of Residential Criteria

Candidates falling under either of the following categories are eligible to appear for the entrance test

  • They should be the permanent resident of Jharkhand OR
  • They must be a ward of an employee of Central Government working in Jharkhand OR
  • The Candidate should be a ward of an employee of State Government or organizations operated/recognized by State Government.

On the basis of Age Limit

  • There is no minimum or maximum age limit for examination.
  • However, candidates seeking admission into Mining Engineering must turn at least 17 years old on or before July 1, 20Jhar18.

Application form of PECE 2019 will be released in 3rd week of March. It should be filled by the candidates only through online mode.

Following are the steps for successful completion of online application submission:

  1. Online Registration

  • Go to the official website of JCECEB - http://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in/Default.aspx
  • Click on ‘JCECEB PECE 2019’ tab
  • Click on ‘Step 1 – New registration’
  • Fill details – Candidate Name, Father’s Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Category, Mobile No. and Email ID
  • Click on ‘Submit’ button
  • Registration ID will be generated for the candidate

  • Visit the official website of JCECEB
  • Click on ‘Login’
  • Enter Registration ID and Date of Birth
  • Click on ‘Submit’ button
  • Fill Personal & Educational Details - Service Men's Quota (SMQ), Muslim Minority, Person with Disability, Nationality, Type of Resident of Jharkhand, Correspondence Address, two choices of Examination City, Annual Income, Aadhar No., Passed/appeared in 10th Class, Name of Board, Year of Passing, Roll no. and Percentage of Marks  
  • Click on ‘Submit’ button
  1. Upload Scanned Photograph, Signature and Thumb Impression

  • Upload scanned images of passport size photograph, signature and thumb impression
  • None of the images should be more than 50 KB
  • Click on ‘Proceed’ button after uploading images

Jharkhand Polytechnic 2019 Admit Card

Admit card can be downloaded from the official website of JCECEB within 4 days before the date of examination. No hard copy of admit card will be sent to the candidate by courier or post.

Candidates can download Admit Card through following steps:

  • Go to the official website of JCECEB - http://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in/Default.aspx
  • Click on ‘Admit Card’ tab on the top row of the webpage
  • Select ‘JCECEB PECE 2019’ from the drop-down list under ‘Please Select Examination’
  • Enter your Registration ID
  • Click on ‘Submit’ button
  • Admit card will appear on screen
  • Take a print out of Admit card and retain until the end of the process

PECE is the basis of shortlisting the candidates for Counselling and admission. The result is likely to be announced by conducting authority in the second week of May 2019. Candidates can check their respective result on the official JCECEB website. JCECEB is likely to release answer key for Jharkhand Polytechnic 2019 after a week of successfully conducting the examination. Jharkhand Polytechnic 2019 Counselling

JCECEB is likely to commence Counselling process for Jharkhand Polytechnic 2019 within a week of declaration of result. It will be conducted on the offline basis. Candidates should report to the address as per authority of Jharkhand Polytechnic 2019 counselling.

  • Information regarding Counselling will be made available to candidates through primary newspapers of Jharkhand and also official JCECEB website
  • Usually, three rounds of Counselling are conducted, but the final decision on the number of Counselling rounds depends on the number of seats that remain vacant after each Counselling round
  • The candidate receiving Counselling notification will have to submit a Challan through Post Office
  • Challan amount for candidates belonging to General and OBC category is INR 400, while female and SC/ST candidates will have to pay INR 250

Ans. No, the test will be conducted for Engineering as well as Non-Engineering courses as listed below:

Q8. Is there any penalty for the wrong answers in the test?

Ans. Yes, for every correct answer candidates will be awarded 1 mark but for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Ans. The exam conducting body has laid down certain residential criteria for aspirants which are listed below (any one of the following):

Ans. Yes, candidates will have to mention Aadhar number in the application form and also, they will have to present it during the counselling.

Q20. I want to apply for more than one course. Do I need to fill separate form?

Ans. Yes, candidates can fill only one course in a single form. To appear for other courses, they must fill different form.

Q21. I was not able to appear for the test. Is the application fee refundable?

Ans. No, application fee is not refundable in any situation.
