Example From Class 7 Chapter 2 Fractions and Decimals

Ques. Determine the average of 4.2, 3.8, and 7.6.

Ans. The average is calculated by:\(\frac{Sum of the numbers}{Total number}\)

Therefore, applying the formula to the decimal numbers, we get,

\(\frac{4.2+3.8+7.6}{3}\)

=\( \frac{15.6}{3}\)

=5.2
