Examples of Class 7 Chapter 9 Rational Numbers

Ques 1. Convert 9/8 into a decimal number.

Ans. To convert 9/8 into a decimal number, just divide the numerator by the denominator.

9/ 8 = 1.125

Ques 2. Convert 110.25 into a rational number.

Ans. To convert a decimal number into a rational number, divide the numerator by the multiple in the range of 10 depending on the number of decimal places.

110.25 = 11025 /100

= 2205/20

= 441/4
