| Ques. A quadrilateral shaped field has diagonal of length 24m. The length of the perpendiculars dropped on it from the other opposite vertices are 8 m and 13 m respectively. What is the area of the field?
Soln: Area of the quadrilateral field = 1/2 × Diagonal × ( Height 1 + Height 2) =[24×(8+13)]/2 =(24×21)/2 = 12 × 21 = 252 m2 |
