What is TUEE Result 2026?

The TUEE result 2026 is the outcome of the Tezpur University Entrance Examination, which the university conducts on its own for admission to a long list of UG, PG and PhD programmes. Tezpur University is a central university at Napaam in Assam, and it runs TUEE through its admission cell.

The result is not a simple mark sheet. Tezpur University publishes a provisional common merit rank list, which places every student in a programme in rank order. Your position on that list decides whether you get a seat.

Gap Between Exam and Result

This is the trend worth watching if you are planning for TUEE 2027. The wait for a merit list has shortened, and the whole cycle now finishes earlier.

The result gap has come down from roughly 33 days to about 24 days over three cycles. The whole calendar also shifted forward in 2026, so admission closed on 24 July instead of the second week of August as in 2025. If you are targeting TUEE 2027, plan for a June exam and a July admission close.

There are two ways to see your TUEE result 2026. The merit rank list is a public PDF and needs no login. Your individual scorecard sits behind the portal login.

Method 1: Through the Merit Rank List PDF

• Step 1: Go to the admission portal at tezu.ernet.in/adm26.
• Step 2: Under Recent Notifications, open the entry dated 1 July 2026 for the provisional common merit rank list.
• Step 3: Find your programme section, then search for your application ID or TUEE roll number.
• Step 4: Note your merit rank and save the PDF.

Method 2: Through the Admission Portal Login

• Step 1: Open tezuadm.samarth.edu.in and log in with the email ID or mobile number and password you used at registration.
• Step 2: Open your dashboard and select the programme you applied for.
• Step 3: Click the result or scorecard link to see your marks and rank.
• Step 4: Download and print it, since you need it for document verification.

If you forgot your password, use the reset option on the portal. Tezpur University does not email your result separately, so do not wait for a message that will not arrive.

TUEE 2026 Merit List and Waiting List

Tezpur University does not run a JoSAA-style choice filling round. It prepares a merit list per programme, calls students in rank order, then fills leftover seats from the waiting list.

• One list per programme: There is no combined all-programme rank. Each department has its own list.
• Category split: Separate lists come out for unreserved and reserved categories, as they did in 2025.
• Waiting list: If seats stay vacant after the main list reports, the university moves down the waiting list.
• Quota split: For most PG programmes, TUEE fills 70 percent of seats and CUET-PG fills 30 percent, so you compete only within the TUEE share.

The 70:30 split matters more than most students realise. A programme with 30 seats has only about 21 TUEE seats, so a rank in the low twenties can still be tight.

TUEE 2026 Qualifying Marks and Cutoff

Tezpur University does not publish a fixed qualifying mark for TUEE. The cutoff is simply the marks of the last student admitted in your programme and category, so it changes every year.

• Seats in the TUEE share: A 10-seat MDes programme closes far higher than a 63-seat MA in English
• Size of the applicant pool: MCA and MA in English draw the largest pools
• Paper difficulty: With 50 questions and negative marking, a few careless attempts move you several ranks
• Category: Reserved category lists close at lower marks than the unreserved list

Because a correct answer gives 2 marks and a wrong one costs 0.5, accuracy matters more than volume in TUEE. Leaving 5 doubtful questions blank often beats guessing all 5.

Personal Interview Round After the TUEE Result

Not every programme ends at the merit list. A few departments call shortlisted students for a personal interview, and your final place depends on both scores.

• MA in Mass Communication and Journalism: The university issued a separate personal interview notice on 24 June 2026
• MA in Social Work: Separate TUEE and CUET shortlists went out on 29 June 2026, followed by interviews
• PhD programmes: Every PhD applicant faces a personal interview. NET, SLET, GATE and CEED holders skip the written test but still attend the interview
• MTech and MDes through GATE or CEED: These run on a separate selection list, notified on 4 June 2026

If your programme has an interview stage, the merit rank list is a shortlist, not an admission offer. Read your department notice rather than assuming the rank settles it.

TUEE 2026 Admission and Document Verification

Tezpur University runs admission through its own portal, not a central counselling body. Once your name appears on the merit list, the process is short.

• Step 2: Accept the seat on the admission portal within the deadline in your programme notice.
• Step 3: Upload documents for verification and pay the admission fee online.

What After TUEE Result 2026

The TUEE 2026 cycle is effectively over. What happens next depends on where you stand.

• If you were admitted: Complete physical reporting at the Napaam campus and start classes for the 2026-27 session, as per the revised notification dated 24 July 2026.
• If you are on the waiting list: Admission through TUEE 2026 has closed, so no further movement is expected this session.
• If you missed out: Look at the CUET-UG route, which is still open for some UG programmes, or plan for TUEE 2027 with a June exam window in mind.
• If you hold a GATE, CEED or NID DAT score: Those direct-admission routes to MTech and MDes run on separate selection lists, outside TUEE.
