UPTAC 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for UPTAC 2027 depends on the course you are applying for. Each programme has its own qualifying exam and minimum academic requirements. You must check all conditions before registering, as registrations are not refunded if you are found ineligible.

Eligibility for B.Tech (4-Year)

• You must have qualified JEE Main 2027 (Session 1, Session 2, or both).
• You must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board.
• Mandatory subjects in Class 12: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
• No minimum percentage in Class 12 is mandated for most private colleges. Some government colleges may require a minimum qualifying percentage — check the individual institute norms.
• Age: You must be at least 17 years old as on December 31, 2027. There is no upper age limit.

Eligibility for B.Arch (5-Year)

• Valid score in NATA 2027 (conducted by COA) or JEE Main 2027 Paper 2 (B.Arch) is mandatory.
• Passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• Minimum 50% marks in PCM combined in Class 12.
• Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Class 12 overall.
• Alternatively, a 10+3 Diploma in Architecture with at least 50% marks is also accepted.

Eligibility for B.Pharm (4-Year)

• Passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics.
• Minimum 45% aggregate marks in Class 12 (40% for SC/ST candidates).
• Admission based on JEE Main score or CUET UG score as applicable for the course.

Eligibility for MBA / MCA

• A Bachelor’s degree of at least 3 years from a recognised university is required.
• Valid CUET PG 2027 score is mandatory.
• Minimum 50% aggregate in graduation (45% for SC/ST candidates).
• For MCA, a background in Mathematics at graduation level may be preferred by some colleges.

Domicile Eligibility

UPTAC divides seats into Home State (HS) and All India (AI) quotas. 80% of seats in government and government-aided institutes are reserved for candidates who are permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh. The remaining 20% is open to candidates from any state. If you do not have a UP domicile certificate, you will only compete for All India quota seats, where competition can be relatively stronger due to fewer available seats.

UPTAC 2027 Registration Process

UPTAC 2027 registration will be done entirely online on the official portal. Registration is a one-time window — if you miss it, you cannot participate in any of the regular counselling rounds. Make sure you have your JEE Main 2027 application number, category documents, and a scanned photograph ready before you begin.

Missing the UPTAC 2027 registration deadline means you cannot participate in Rounds 1 through 4. Only Special Rounds may allow fresh registration — and that is not guaranteed. Do not wait until the last date.

• Step 5 — Pay Registration Fee: Pay ₹1,000 non-refundable fee online via net banking, debit card, or credit card. No offline payment (cash, cheque, DD) is accepted.
• Step 6 — Submit and Save Confirmation: Submit the form and download the confirmation printout for your records. You will need the registration number for all future logins.

UPTAC 2027 Fee Structure

The seat confirmation fee is adjusted against the total first-year college tuition fee when you report for admission. If you do not pay it within the given deadline after seat allotment, your seat is automatically cancelled and released to the next candidate in the merit list.

How Selection Works in UPTAC 2027

UPTAC does not conduct its own entrance exam. Admission to B.Tech programmes is based entirely on your JEE Main 2027 rank. AKTU prepares separate merit lists for Home State (UP domicile) and All India quota candidates for each category. UPTAC 2027 seat allotment will be done by AKTU through an automated algorithm that matches your rank, category, domicile, and locked choices. Round 1 seat allotment for UPTAC 2027 is expected in July 2027 — in 2026, it was declared on July 18.

How to Check UPTAC 2027 Seat Allotment Result

• Go to uptac.samarth.edu.in and log in with your registration number and password.
• Click on "View Allotment Letter" or "Seat Allotment Result" link on the dashboard.
• Check your allotted college name, branch, category, and seat type carefully.
• Download and save the allotment letter — you will need it at the time of physical document verification at the college.

What to Do After You Get a Seat

• Decide whether to Freeze, Float, or Slide your seat based on your satisfaction with the allotment.
• Pay the seat confirmation fee (₹20,000 or ₹12,000) online within the deadline. No extension is granted.
• Report physically to your allotted college with all original documents within the specified reporting dates.
• If you did not get a seat in Round 1, you are automatically considered for Round 2 without any additional action.

Not paying the seat confirmation fee within the deadline will lead to automatic cancellation of your allotted seat. No exceptions are made. Pay as soon as your seat is allotted.

UPTAC B.Arch 2027 is the counselling process for admission to 5-year Bachelor of Architecture programmes at AKTU-affiliated government and private architecture colleges in UP. It follows the same centralised model as UPTAC B.Tech, with separate merit lists specifically for B.Arch candidates based on NATA or JEE Paper 2 scores.
