VOCLET 2024 Application Form is out. You can apply for VOCLET 2024 online on the official website webscte.co.in. The last date to apply for VOCLET 2024 is May 15, 2024.

VOCLET 2024 will be conducted in June 2024.

Highlights:

To apply for VOCLET 2024, you are required to pay an application fees of INR 450 online.
As per the VOCLET 2024 eligibility criteria, you must have passed / appeared* (10+2) examination from the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education &Skill Development
VOCLET 2024 will be of 100 marks and consist of Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Mechanics, and Computer Science. What is VOCLET?

VOCLET 2024 is a state-level entrance exam for lateral entry into polytechnic courses in West Bengal. The exam is open to candidates who have appeared for the 10+2 Exam of the WB vocational education board. VOCLET is held for candidates seeking admission into various Polytechnic Colleges/Institutions of the State of West Bengal.

VOCLET 2024 Registration

VOCLET 2024 Application Form is available online. To register for VOCLET 2024, follow the below mentioned steps:

Go to the official website of West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development at webscte.co.in.
Click on “online registration (STVT & BOCE)” to register for the exam.
The application fee for VOCLET 2024 is INR 450 and for the Valid Kanyashree Enrollees is INR 225.
Apart from this, an OMR sheet also has to be submitted to the Polytechnics of choice of the candidates.

VOCLET 2024 Admit Card

VOCLET 2024 Admit Card will be released tentatively on the official website at webscte.ac.in in the last week of MAy 2024. It is mandatory for candidates to carry the admit card on the exam date. Please do note that the admit cards are not be sent separately.

NOTE: For mining engineering discipline, only male candidates are eligible to apply.

NOTE: Candidates have to provide a medical certificate at the time of admission.

VOCLET Exam Duration is 2 hours, from 01:30 PM to 03:30 PM.
Each section carries a total weightage of 20 marks.
All questions will be multiple choice questions type.
The questions will be in two languages, English and Bengali.
There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

VOCLET 2024 Preparation & Books

VOCLET 2024 Preparation can be done while keeping in mind the following tips:

Clear all basics such as rational numbers, algebra, trigonometry etc before starting the preparation for the Mathematics section of the paper.
For physics, candidates have to be clear with regards to all the derivations and formulas.
Practise several numericals for chemistry and physics as they are likely to be asked.
For organic chemistry, candidates have to be very clear about the structure of compounds or they might make silly mistakes.
While practising for the computer application paper, it is absolutely necessary to try out all the applications on your own.

VOCLET 2024 Results,Merit List and Counseling

‘The council will provide a consolidated VOCLET 2024 Merit List once the exams have concluded. The results will be published on the website ie webscte.ac.in. No intimation of any kind will be provided to the candidate. Candidates have to check the official websites on their own.

The council does not provide any way to raise any objection to the VOCLET Results. VOCLET counseling will be done by the council and all the details will be published on the official website. If the candidates fails to provide any necessary documents their admission will be rescinded. Lateral entry would only be permissible upto 10% of the total intake.

Ques. Why are female candidates not eligible to apply for Mining Engineering under VOCLET?

Ans. Female candidates will not be eligible to apply for the posts because of restrictions imposed by Mining Act, 1952 . This is due to engagement of female candidates in underground mines and working times.

Ques. What is the general fee structure for government Diploma Institutes (Engineering & Technology, Architecture) under VOCLET?

Ans. The Tuition Fee for Government Diploma Institutes (Engineering & Technology, Architecture) is only INR 50 (Rupees fifty only) per month.

Ques.Will there be any rounding off of aggregate marks in VOCLET?

Ans. No, there will be no rounding of aggregate marks in VOCLET. This means that 34.99% will not be rounded off to 35%.

Ques. What are the provisions given under the Kanyashree Scheme for VOCLET?

Ans. The provisions given under the Kanyashree Scheme for VOCLET are as follows:

50% waiver in registration fee
50% waiver in cost of Admission Form of VOCLET-2024
50% waiver in Counseling Fees of the students of Government, Government Sponsored and Self-financed Diploma Institutes.
Such candidates will get prioritization accommodation in Women’s Hostels of Government Diploma Institutes.

Ques. What is needed at the time of VOCLET Examination?

Ans. Candidates need to carry the following to the VOCLET Exam Center:
