University of Nottingham Malaysia Admissions

The admission process for domestic and international students are both conducted online. However, international students have additional requirements and must be careful with their visa process so as to complete it in time. To avail scholarships on a priority basis, students must apply early.

The University offers undergraduate degrees in a wide range of courses. Students must go through course requirements carefully and apply in due time. Note: Late applications are only considered if the on-time applications have been completed.

Application Fee: Successful processing of the application requires an application fee of RM200.

Academic Requirements: Applicants are required to submit the following documents-

  • Completed application form with the application fee of RM200.
  • Academic transcripts (IGCSE/GCSE+AS / O Levels / SPM / SAT / STPM / UEC/ IB Diploma / SAM)
  • For country-wise academic requirements, students may refer here.
  • Proof of English Proficiency: IELTS/PTE or any other equivalent.
  • The SAT scores may be submitted by international applicants from the USA.

Supporting Documents: In addition to the academic requirements, applicants need to submit certain additional documents to strengthen their applications:

English Proficiency Test Score for International Students

International students may submit either TOEFL, IELTS or PTE scores to prove English proficiency.

Visa Process for International Students:

  • Applicants must complete the Visa Application, which can be done by visiting the official government website and filling the online application form

    • Copy of passport
    • Proof of financial support (Affidavit and Bank Statement)
  • The form must be completed with accurate information such as name, biographical information, and program information as this will be used for the visa stamp in the applicant’s passport.
  • Students have to pay the service fee and government fee ($69 and $45, respectively) and print the receipt.
  • Applicants then need to apply for the study visa, submit the form and make the required payment.
  • Finally, after the payment, an email for confirming the eVisa order shall be sent along with a list of documents required to complete the Malaysian eVisa application. Then the eVisa is sent by email.

General documents required for VISA:

  • Passport (valid for at least six months ahead)
  • Original application Form
  • Health Insurance Cover
  • Completed and signed visa application form
  • Proof of permanent address
  • Flight Ticket
  • Proof of funding sufficient to cover your tuition and living expenses. The applicant may support this by providing the original versions of the Financial Affidavit of Support form and bank statement they submitted to receive immigration documents.

The University of Nottingham Malaysia Graduate Admissions

The University offers various post-graduate diploma and certificate courses. Each course has a tuition fee of approximately RM45,500. Students may apply for post-graduate/research scholarships.

How to apply: Applications are accepted through the ‘MyNottingham Application’ Portal. Alternatively, students may fill the postgraduate application form and mail it to the Admissions Office.
