What Happens After the Result?
Qualified candidates will now enter the online counselling stage. AIIMS is expected to conduct counselling in three regular rounds. A spot round may be held if seats remain vacant after the regular rounds.
The counselling process is expected to take place between August and September 2026. All rounds will be conducted online through the official AIIMS examination portal.
The counselling cycle includes:
- Online registration
- Choice filling
- Seat allotment
- Document uploading
- Fee payment
- Physical document verification
Final admission will depend on successful document verification at the allotted institute. Selected candidates must report to their assigned AIIMS campus within the specified deadline.
Seat allotment follows a merit and preference-based method. Higher-ranked candidates receive priority while courses and campuses are allotted. Candidates should therefore arrange their preferences carefully during choice filling.
How Will the Counselling Rounds Work?
AIIMS conducts three main rounds of online counselling. A spot round may be organised later for vacant seats.
Round 1: Registration, choice filling, and first seat allotment
Round 2: Seat upgradation and fresh allotment based on vacancies
Round 3: Final regular allotment round for the remaining seats
Spot Round: Conducted later for seats left vacant across participating AIIMS campuses
