NIT (National Institute of Technology) Patna offers B.Tech/M.Tech/MSc (five years integrated programs) under its ten departments. Students are required to appear in the common entrance test conducted to get admission in the institute. The application form is provided online on the institute’s website. The Institute follows the semester-based academic curriculum and its academic year is divided into two semesters i.e. Odd & Even semester. The duration of the Odd semester (July-December) and that of the even semester is (January-June).

The term-end examination is conducted at the end of each semester i.e. in the month of November-December (Odd semester) and in the month of April-May (Even Semester). The examination timetable is uploaded on the institute’s website a month before the commencement of the examination. The result is announced online 25-30 days later to the examination. The Institute provides the academic calendar online to detail all the academic events scheduled to be conducted in the session.

NIT Patna Exam Result 2020

The result of institute’s semester-end examination is declared within 30-35 days after the completion of the examination. NIT uploads the result of supplementary examination on its website after its commencement on its official website. The result of Odd semester term-end examination is declared in the month of January and the even semester examination is announced in the month of June. The steps mentioned below will help to download the result:

  • Visit the official website of the Institute
  • Click on “Results” under the “Academics” section
  • On the results page. click on the link of your respective batch/semester
  • Take a print out for future reference

NIT Patna Exam Timetable 2020

The timetable of institute’s external (theory/practical) and supplementary examination is uploaded on the official website before the inception of the examination. The timetable of the examination is released 30-35 days prior to its inception date. The examination schedule of Odd semester examination is circulated in the month of October-November, while the date-sheet of even semester term-end examination is uploaded in the month of March. As per the academic calendar, the odd semester examination is conducted in the month of November-December, while the even semester examination is held in the month of April-May. The following steps can help students to check the timetable:

  • Go to the institute’s website
  • Click on the examination schedule link under the “Announcement” section
  • The examination timetable page will appear with the links of all the released date-sheets
  • Click on the date-sheet of your respective course and batcha
  • Download and save it

NIT Patna Academic Calendar 2020

NIT publicizes the academic calendar of its academic year before the inception of the new session i.e. in the month of June. The academic year of the institute begins in the month of July and completes in the month of May. It is divided into two semesters i.e. Odd (July-December) and Even (January-May). It holds all the details regarding the academic events scheduled to be conducted in both semesters viz. inception date of the semester classes, internal examination, term-end examination, declaration of result, holidays, semester break, etc.
