On Tuesday, November 17, 2020, Calcutta University has cleared all airs about conducting intermediate semester exams. Lately, Principals of many Calcutta University affiliated colleges had raised queries on the mode of conducting exams.
Answering to all such queries, Calcutta University has issued a statement that says, students of intermediate semesters will be evaluated on internal assessments and previous performances.
However as per the Principal of a college, “We have sought a clear guideline on the format of the exams in each subject. It is yet to arrive.”
As per CU directives, every student will be given full attendance as classes were conducted in online mode since March. Colleges have to upload roll numbers of students who are eligible to take the exams on their portals.
Considering this, officials will keep tracking students who had appeared in the exams. Additionally, most of the affiliated colleges of Calcutta University will begin the internal assessments from November 23 while marks will be updated in a month’s time.
Principals of affiliated colleges had submitted queries on the format of intermediate semester exams.
As per, Siuli Sarkar, Principal of Lady Brabourne College, “The questions included like which examinations should be considered, whether supplementary exams would be included or not, who all will be eligible candidates and how the colleges should mark the answer scripts and upload the scores.
All these were clarified by CU. Senior CU official has also sought feedback from colleges and told us all further queries would be answered.”
