Delhi University Confirms 65,532 UG Admissions 2023; Check Details Here

New Delhi: The University of Delhi has received a total of 65,532 admissions for its various undergraduate programs during the academic session 2023-2024. B.Com. (Hons), B.Com., BA (Hons) Political Science, BA (Hons) Economics, and BA (Hons) English emerged as the top 5 UG courses.

As per the Delhi University data, the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) after the conclusion of the third round on August 26, the combined allocations offered in Rounds I, II, and III amounted to 1,29,785. Among these allocations, 65,532 have been confirmed admissions. Out of the total admissions, 53% are female students and 47% are male students.

The ongoing phase of postgraduate admissions is currently in its second round. During this phase, a total of 7,226 payments and 2,820 approvals have been processed. B.Tech. admissions have already completed two rounds. 

Subsequent allocation rounds from the third onward will be conducted online, unless the Faculty requires a physical verification of specific documents.

Regarding the selection of colleges by students in all three rounds of undergraduate admissions, Hansraj College, Ramjas College, Dyal Singh College, Gargi College, and Kirori Mal College emerged as the top five institutions with the highest number of admissions. 

Notably, a total of 38,138 applicants have chosen to exercise the freeze option across all three rounds held so far. However, based on the current admissions figures, approximately 10,300 candidates have successfully secured their first-choice preferences.

Considering the comprehensive data released by DU, so far for undergraduate admissions, the most sought-after programs include B.Com. and B.A., both of which have recorded the highest number of admissions. 

As reported, the top five programs selected by the aspiring candidates across all three rounds are B.Com. (Hons), B.Com., BA (Hons) Political Science, BA (Hons) Economics, and BA (Hons) English.
