DU Admission 2020: Spot Admission Round for UG Programs Delayed Further; Check Details Here

Delhi University delays the spot admission procedure for the UG courses that are based on entrance-exam. 

Delhi University (DU) announced the postponement due to the increasing cases of COVID-19 among the varsity officials and staff. Moreover, the university has also informed the delay in the release of special cut-offs for the vacant seats left after the release of 5 official merit lists.

Vikas Gupta, the varsity registrar confirmed the news and said that the procedure for displaying the status for vacant lists will remain the same. The officials will put up the number of vacant seats for various courses category-wise on November 18. 

According to an official, figures show that DU has approved admission to over 67000 students to date. He stated that 67,781 seats are filled for various UnderGraduate courses. 24,261 seats out of the total seats were filled recently after the release of the 5th (final) cut-off list. DU issued the last cut-off list on November 14, Saturday.

Earlier, the university announced the total number of seats for UG courses in various colleges as 70,000. There are a total of 77 colleges affiliated with Delhi University. The admission process for various UG programs is under process. 

Keeping in mind the ongoing COVID crisis, the varsity is carrying the admission process in complete online mode. The COVID scenario in Delhi is increasing daily. The total number of active cases as of November 12 was 43,116 in Delhi with 7,332 death reports.
