IIT Kanpur's 2024 placement drive excels with 891 job offers to 818 students from global companies, fostering bright career prospects.
New Delhi: In the first phase of IIT Kanpur's 2024 placement campaign, 818 students received 891 job offers, including 21 from foreign businesses and MNC giants like Microsoft, Fujitsu, Samsung, Reliance, Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Deutsche Bank, Tata systems, and others.
Director of IIT Kanpur, S Ganesh, commended the institute's harmonious success in placements, extending congratulations to the students who secured positions and wishing the best to those still in the process. He also acknowledged the pivotal part played by the devoted placement cell in preparing students for interviews and assiduity challenges.
Raju Kumar Gupta, Chairperson of IIT Kanpur's Students' Placement Office (SPO), expressed gratitude to the supporting companies for their critical role in creating the students' bright futures. As the placement season advances, Gupta reaffirmed the SPO's commitment to assisting students choose resilient career choices.

The previous year's drive, which took place from December 1 to December 15, 2022, had notable accomplishments such as the highest domestic offer of INR 1.9 crore and 33 students accepting offers worth more than INR 1 crore from various national and international organisations. Furthermore, approximately 60 businesses presented 208 PPOs during phase 1 placements, and 74 overseas offers were received. At the moment, IIT Kanpur's continuing placement push continues to provide further opportunities for growth and achievement for its students.
