JoSAA 2026 Mock Seat Allotment 1 Result Out at josaa.nic.in; Check Steps to Modify Choices Before Mock Round 2

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the Mock Seat Allotment 1 result for the JoSAA 2026 counselling on the official website at josaa.nic.in. The trial allocation went live on June 8, 2026 at 2:00 PM IST.

The result is based on the choices candidates locked by June 7, 2026 at 8:00 PM IST. Candidates can log in to the portal using their JEE Main roll number and password. JEE Advanced qualifiers must use their JEE Advanced password instead.

The mock allotment is a non-binding trial run. It shows the institute and branch a candidate would likely secure if the current choice list were used in the actual allocation. The result is meant only to help students refine their preferences.

JoSAA handles admissions to 138 institutes for the 2026-27 academic session. These include 23 IITs, IISc Bengaluru, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and 56 other Government Funded Technical Institutes.

A second mock allotment is scheduled for June 10, 2026. It will reflect the choices saved by June 9, 2026 at 1:00 PM IST. Final choice filling for the actual counselling closes on June 11, 2026 at 5:00 PM IST.

The mock result is hosted on the candidate portal. Students must use their valid login credentials to view the allocation.

• Visit the official JoSAA website at josaa.nic.in.
• Click on the link titled "Mock Allotment Result 1" on the homepage.
• Enter your JEE Main roll number and password to log in.
• JEE Advanced qualifiers should use the JEE Advanced password instead.
• Click on the given link to view the seat allotted to you.
• Note the institute, branch, and category of allocation for reference.

How to Modify Choices After the Mock Allotment?

Candidates not satisfied with the mock allocation can revise their choice list. The portal allows editing, reordering, adding, and deleting choices.

• Log in to the candidate portal at josaa.admissions.nic.in.
• Open the "Choice Filling and Locking" section.
• Rearrange preferences in the order of priority.
• Save the updated list before June 9, 2026 at 1:00 PM IST for Mock Allotment 2.
• Lock the final list before June 11, 2026 at 5:00 PM IST.
