What Should Allotted Candidates Do Next?
Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 must complete the acceptance process online and then report to the allotted institute.
The reporting process includes:
- Document verification
- Payment of the institute fee
The deadline for completing both steps is August 7, 2026.
Candidates who do not accept the allotted seat within the deadline will lose the seat. They will not be eligible to claim it in later rounds.
Candidates who wish to try for a better institute may select the upgrade or freeze option according to the notified rules.

Institute Level Option Form Window Also Open
The online submission of the Option Form for Institute Level admissions is open from August 4 to September 5, 2026.
Candidates who miss the CAP Round 1 seat or wish to apply directly to institutes for vacant seats can use this window.
This is the first CAP round for MAH BDes 2026-27 admissions. A missed August 7 deadline cancels the allotment and blocks the candidate from claiming the same seat in later rounds. Only nine institutes are part of the CAP list this year, so seats are limited.
