How to Check the MAH DSE CAP 2026 Round 1 Allotment?

The provisional allotment status is available on the candidate portal. Only the login credentials generated at registration are needed. Follow the steps below to view and download the letter.

  • Visit the official portal at dse2026.mahacet.org.in.
  • Click on the CAP Round 1 Provisional Allotment link.
  • Enter your Application ID and date of birth to log in.
  • The Application ID begins with the prefix DSE26.
  • View the allotted institute and branch on screen.
  • Download and save the allotment letter for reporting.

An institute-wise allotment list is also live on the portal. Candidates can view seat status by college and branch there.

What Are the Seat Acceptance Options?

Every allotted candidate must select one of four options. Each option decides the candidate's role in Round 2. The choice is binding once the deadline passes.

Option What It Means
Self Freeze Candidate confirms the seat and exits further CAP rounds.
Auto Freeze System freezes the seat if no action is taken by the deadline.
Float Current seat is held. Any institute or branch upgrade is considered in Round 2.
Slide Institute stays fixed. A different branch may be allotted in Round 2.

How to Pay the Seat Acceptance Fee?

The Rs 1,000 fee is paid online through the candidate portal. Accepted payment modes include debit card, credit card, net banking, and UPI. Save the transaction receipt for the institute reporting step.

How to Report to the Allotted Institute?

Candidates choosing the freeze option must report to the college in person. The reporting window runs from August 5 to 7, 2026. Carry all originals and the balance college fee on the reporting day.

Required documents include the CAP allotment letter and DSE 2026 scorecard. Also carry the diploma marksheets and class 10 marksheet. Bring category certificates if applicable and a valid photo ID. Institutes may reject admission if any original is missing.

What Happens Next for Unallotted Candidates?

Candidates who did not get any allotment can participate in Round 2. The vacant seat matrix will be displayed on August 8, 2026. A fresh option form window will open for eligible candidates soon after. The Round 2 allotment result is scheduled for August 14, 2026.

Why This Matters

Missing the August 7 deadline cancels the allotted seat. The seat also becomes ineligible for future CAP round consideration. Timely acceptance protects the current seat and any Round 2 upgrade chance.

Action Plan for Candidates

  • Log in at dse2026.mahacet.org.in and download the allotment letter.
  • Choose the seat status option that matches your preference.
  • Pay the Rs 1,000 seat acceptance fee online before the deadline.
  • Arrange all original documents and the balance college fee.
  • Report to the allotted institute between August 5 and 7, 2026.
Keep an Eye On

Watch for the Round 2 vacant seat matrix on August 8 and the Round 2 allotment result on August 14, 2026.
