NEET UG 2024 Syllabus Released @nmc.org.in, Exam in May 2024; Check Details Here

New Delhi: As per the latest updates, National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued the syllabus for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET UG 2024. In addition to this, The National Testing Agency (NTA) plans to hold the exam on May 5, 2024.

Until last year, the NTA released the NEET UG syllabus alongside an information booklet and notification. This year, NMC revealed the NEET UG 2024 syllabus, sparking rumours over the syllabus's lowering.

The NMC notice states, “The Undergraduate Medical Education Board, an autonomous agency under the National Medical Commission, has finalised the NEET UG Syllabus 2024 and has notified all stakeholders, particularly ambitious candidates”.

“The same has been made available to the general public on the NMC website. When developing study materials and the NEET UG exam for the academic term 2024-25, stakeholders are recommended to refer to the modified syllabus for NEET UG 2024, the notice reads.

While there is growing suspicion that the NEET syllabus will be reduced in 2024, NMC has yet to confirm this. NTA has also made no remark on the matter.

As the NMC website is down, various students, aspirants, and doctors are speculating about the reduction in NEET 2024 syllabus and the legitimacy of the notification on syllabus being posted on social media. While some pointed out mistakes in the NEET 2024 reduced syllabus PDF, others wondered if the NEET exam would be held the following year.

An X user inquired whether NMC has "really" shortened the NEET syllabus for 2024. While another inquired whether NMC will now conduct the exam, stating, "Now that the reduced syllabus has been released by NMC, NTA may not be the conducting body?"

In a post on the internet, a student stated, "This is a notice stating the syllabus of NEET. The exam has been lowered, however, the NMC website is reporting a database issue." "NMC site crashed...is the pdf circulating about syllabus reduction for NEET 2024 true...?," said another user of X.
