The new National Education Policy (NEP) approved by the Government of India will now be executed in Rajasthan in a phased manner. NEP 2020 came into light on July 27, 2020. The Union Cabinet replaced the educational framework introduced in 1986 with the NEP 2020.

The New policy is directed to make changes in the educational system at the Schools and Higher Education Institutions. Further, it visions India to become a Global Knowledge Superpower.

On October 6, 2020, The Governor of Rajasthan announced that NEP 2020 will be implemented in Rajasthan with emphasis on research, Innovation, and promoting quality of Education.

Kalraj Mishra further explained the essential point of view for the education system in India. He addressed the Meeting via Video Conference to address the issues and implementation plan. The Governor shared the Blueprint ideas for the execution of NEP 2020 in the state Universities with the special task force built on April 10, 2020, for the implementation of NEP 2020.

The Vice-Chancellors of all the universities are to share the feedback between the window of October 21- October 23, 2020. The purpose behind this is to assess all the issues and recommendations placed Infront by the Universities of Rajasthan.

The new NEP 2020 brings major changes in the education system of India. The system not only changes the evaluation process for the students but also gives a standard process for hiring the teachers.

The policy is now changed to 5+3+3+4 format for the School level and affects the admissions in Colleges.

Academic Bank of Credit will now be operational for the students. Moreover, UGC, AICTE, NAAC accreditation will not be valid from now on and will be replaced by a single autonomous Organisation.

The New Education Policy has been designed after taking into consideration the contemporary issues and future challenges that India's education domain faces. Officials have stated that the new policy will resolve these issues and will ease further education.
