The Graduate Management Admission Council has opened NMAT 2026 registration on August 20 2026 at mba.com. Candidates can apply till October 10 2026 for the exam window running from November 2 to December 20 2026.

Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has opened NMAT 2026 registration on its official portal. The application window is live at mba.com. Registration opened on August 20, 2026 and closes on October 10, 2026.
The scheduling window for exam slots remains open until October 22, 2026. NMAT 2026 will be held from November 2 to December 20, 2026. More than 58 leading business schools in India accept NMAT scores. Test centres will be set up in over 70 cities across India.

NMAT 2026 Registration Fee
The base NMAT 2026 registration fee is Rs 3,000 plus applicable taxes. This fee includes score reports sent to five participating B-school programmes. Payment must be made online through the official portal.
Accepted payment modes include debit cards, credit cards, and net banking. Registration fees are non-refundable for candidates from India and neighbouring countries. The fee is the same for all category candidates.

NMAT 2026 Retake Policy
Candidates can attempt NMAT up to three times in one testing cycle. Each retake requires a fresh payment of Rs 3,000 plus taxes. A minimum 15-day gap must separate two consecutive attempts.
Candidates cannot test on two back-to-back days under any condition. Only the best score across all attempts is shared with participating B-schools. Duplicate registrations for the same slot are rejected and the fee is forfeited.
NMAT 2026 Exam Format
NMAT is a computer-based test with three sections in one paper. The test can be booked at a centre or in online proctored mode from home. Candidates cannot switch modes once a slot is booked.
Candidates can choose the order of the three sections at the start of the test. The exam has no negative marking for wrong answers. Unofficial scores appear instantly after the exam ends.

How to Register for NMAT 2026?
Registration is completed entirely online through the mba.com portal. Candidates must create an account and fill the online application form. Documents must be uploaded and the fee paid in one session.
Slot booking follows a first-come, first-served basis on the official portal. Any reschedule request must be made 72 hours before the booked slot. The reschedule fee is Rs 1,200 plus taxes per request.

NMAT is one of the few Indian MBA tests allowing three attempts per cycle. Test takers can submit their best score to B-schools during admissions. This design lowers the pressure of a single-day performance.
