NMAT by GMAC Syllabus is prescribed by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) each year. It has not seen any major changes over the years. NMAT 2020 is a computer-based test that will be conducted in multiple sessions in 75 day test window.
The test is of two hours in total. All questions will be objective in nature. Each section is individually timed.
Owing to the absence of negative marking scheme NMAT is more of a speed test than test of one’s accuracy.

Candidates should be thorough with various concepts of Verbal, Quant, DI and Reasoning. NMAT by GMAC is conducted to grant admission in postgraduate management courses in NMIMS campuses and other institutes accepting scores. Candidates will be shortlisted for further selection rounds on the basis of their overall and sectional scores.
This section not only consists of questions pertaining to the Logical Reasoning but also from Data Interpretation. It is a major topic which tests the ability of the candidate to interpret the given data in the form of graphs and tables etc. The major NMAT by GMAC question topics for Data Interpretation is as follows:
Regular practice is the key to ace this section. 40 questions are expected to be atempted in 38 minutes that makes 1 minute for each question and less.
Questions will be based on Logical reasoning and Analytical reasoning
Read the questions carefully before markingthe answer-answer choices can be confusing at times
Assumption does not work in reasoning-whatever information is provided in the question, answer has to be arrived at based on that only.
Pay specific attention to some words like- ‘all’ ‘some’ ‘none’ etc. This will help sought factual information provided in the question.
While solvingthe question- try to mnake pictorial representation of the data given. This will be helpfull in venn diagram, arrnagement questions or syllogism.
NMAT by GMAC Sample Papers

The exam will take place in different slots on different days. The total time duration of NMAT by GMAC 2020 is 2 hours. As for the NMAT by GMAC marking scheme, three marks will be awarded for each correct answer option, while there is no negative marking.
