Samvaad Institute of Speech and Hearing(SISH) Launches Bachelor of Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology Course

SISH has launched a new course named Bachelor of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP) to train speech and audiology professionals. The Institute has started the admission process for the same.

SISH aims to provide services to people with language and speech disability. To that end, they offer UG and PG courses to provide training to individuals in this specialized field. The Institute is affiliated to Bangalore Central University. The Institute started the application process for the course on 9 November.

BASLP: Job Scenario

Contrary to popular belief, the opportunities for growth in medical specialization geared toward disabled people are great. As per the Bureau of Labour Statistics, the annual salary of Speech-Language Pathologist was around 71000$. This is almost the same as what most engineers earn.
