On 28 August, the Education Minister of Telangana Sabitha Indra Reddy launched the poster for the School Innovation Challenge for government school students in all 33 districts of Telangana.
The School Innovation Challenge is being organized by the United Nations Children’s Fund in collaboration with Telangana School Education Department, Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC) and Inqui-Lab Foundation.

The Education Minister said that it is vital to focus on children’s creative abilities, as this will improve self-reliance through problem-solving. Calling the School Innovation Challenge a one-of-its-kind project, she said, “Telangana as the first state will also pioneer this to foster innovation from young age.
“I sincerely request all the teachers of the government schools to take charge and be a Changemaker in bringing Innovative mindsets from the school.”
The School Innovation Challenge will be held for students from classes 6 to 10. It will take place from September to December 2020.
