The academic session of Telangana will officially begin today with online classes for school students. On 24 August, the school education department of Telangana had announced that online classes for students in the state would begin from 1 September.
A cabinet meeting held on 5 August had approved the start of admissions and agreed to begin distance education and e-learning for schools.

Teachers were told to go to their schools regularly from 27 August onwards to prepare e-class content and lesson plans. The special chief secretary had said, “The Government, after careful examination, hereby permits as part of e-learning and distance education, online classes on various digital/TV/T-SAT platforms from September 1, 2020, in all schools.
“All teachers shall attend schools regularly from August 27 onwards and shall prepare e-content lessons.”

The government will also release a separate notice according to the guidelines of the Indian government with regard to the reopening of schools and the beginning of classes. Until then, schools will remain physically closed for students.
