TNEA 2026 tentative allotment for Government School 7.5% special reservation candidates is out on tneaonline.org. Candidates must confirm their allotment by 5 PM on July 14 2026 to remain in the counselling process.
The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) has released a fresh tentative allotment for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2026 counselling. The list is available only for Government School Special Reservation candidates under the 7.5% quota. Candidates can check the allotment on the official portal at tneaonline.org.
The tentative allotment was released at 7:00 AM on July 14, 2026. Candidates must confirm their allotment by 5:00 PM on the same day. Missing the deadline will remove candidates from further TNEA counselling rounds.
The 7.5% quota is available for students who studied in Tamil Nadu Government Schools from Classes 6 to 12. A total of 50,373 students applied under this quota in 2026.

How to Check and Confirm the TNEA 2026 Tentative Allotment?
Candidates must log in and submit their response before the confirmation deadline. The available confirmation options include Accept and Join, Accept and Upward, and Reject.
- Visit the official TNEA portal at tneaonline.org.
- Click on the Special Reservation Login link on the homepage.
- Enter the application number, password, and captcha.
- Open the Tentative Allotment tab to check the allotted seat.
- Select the required confirmation response from the available options.
- Save the confirmation and download the acknowledgement slip for future reference.

What Happens If You Miss the Confirmation Cut-off?
The system will automatically cancel the tentative allotment if a candidate does not confirm it before 5:00 PM on July 14, 2026.
Such candidates will not receive a provisional seat in this round. They will also be removed from the July 15 choice-filling stage and will not be considered for further TNEA counselling rounds.
The 7.5% Government School quota reserves seats across all engineering branches. It runs in a separate counselling window before general rounds start. This gives Government School students first access to preferred colleges and branches.
