UGC has launched two new user-friendly portals, UTSAH to track NEP 2020 implementations and PoP to recruit professionals on May 16, 2023. Check the full details here!
New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the University Grants Commission (UGC)) has launched two new user-friendly websites, called UTSAH (Undertaking Transformative Strategies and Actions in Higher Education) and PoP (Professors of Practice) on May 16, 2023.
As per UGC, the UTSAH portal is designed to share and track the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020. While the PoP portal will aim to manage the recruitment process of experienced professionals by the academic institutions of India.
The commission has invited the Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to use the faculties offered by these websites by registering on the UTSAH portal at utsah.ugc.ac.in and PoP portal at ispop.ugc.ac.in.The websites will have updates and information on initiatives taken by UGC.
Informing about this initiative, the UTSAH website reads, “This portal also provides detailed information about UGC’s initiatives for qualitative reforms in higher education. In this regard, the Regulations, Guidelines, and Frameworks issued by the UGC will also be readily available through a hyperlink for the information of all stakeholders.”
The official PoP (Professors of Practice) informs that through this website, the government aims to take real work practice and experiences into the classrooms. Educational institutions and society will greatly benefit from the skills of trained professionals through the PoP portal.
Speaking on this occasion, UGC Chairman motivated the higher educational institutions to visit the official websites and register their data on NEP 2020 implementation. In addition to NEP 2020, the portal will include information on various types of universities, e-governance websites and other initiatives of UGc.
