West Bengal State University has opened PG admission 2026-27 for MA, MSc, MCom, and MRS programmes. Registration closes on July 9 on pgadmissionwb.com, with the entrance test scheduled from July 13 to July 15, 2026.

The West Bengal State University (WBSU) has opened postgraduate admissions for the 2026-28 academic session. Applications are being accepted at pgadmissionwb.com. The registration window closes on July 9, 2026.
Admission is open across four postgraduate streams at WBSU. These are M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, and Master of Rural Studies (MRS). The entrance test will be held from July 13 to 15, 2026. Selection will be based only on scores in the admission test.
No application fee is required for WBSU PG Admission 2026-27. Candidates must submit one separate application for each subject they choose.

WBSU PG 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet any one of the following academic conditions:
- Appearing in UG 6th Semester 2026 under NEP with cleared results through the 5th semester
- Completed a 3-year UG degree under the CBCS system
- Passed Part-III (1+1+1) examinations with clear results
- Hold a UG degree from any UGC-recognised university
- Distance learners from IGNOU, NSOU, and other state universities are also eligible.

- Upload marksheets, certificates, and caste or PWD documents where applicable

Reservation Policy
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 22 percent of total seats
- Scheduled Tribe (ST): 6 percent of total seats
- Persons with Disability (PWD): 5 percent within each category
PWD candidates need a certificate from a government hospital. The document must confirm 40 percent or higher disability. SC and ST applicants must submit valid caste certificates. The certificates should follow the West Bengal SC/ST (Identification) Act 1994.
60 percent of seats in M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, and MRS programmes are reserved. This quota is only for students who completed their UG from WBSU. Outside candidates compete for the remaining 40 percent share of seats.
