Honest review of vit

From my point of academics were good but hostel rules were very dominating. There was 7 pm time for entering girls in hostel and 6 pm time for entering the campus for both boys and girls. U cannot go outside a hostel in shorts or career. Girls outing was banned on Saturday and Sunday.

The course curriculum is very much good. Intact we have studied recent technologies e.g cloud computing, big data, etc. Talking about exam structure there will be 2 internal exams named cat 1 and cat 2 of 50 marks of one-month interval. Cat 2 is of the open-book system in which u are allowed to keep a book with u in the examination hall. Then there will be a semester end exam named fat which is of 100 marks.

Placement in but is very good but for the computer students. Many IT companies came here to recruit. I have given approx 50 company exams. Many big companies come to recruit like Microsoft, IBM, TCS, Infosys, etc but Mechanical guys didn't get lots of opportunities.

In Vellore institute of technology many technical and nontechnical events happened. There is an event named QUBIT, TECHNOVIT, etc that is a technical event in which different seminars happened. The event named AURORA etc that is a nontechnical event in which different performance is done. On-campus, we celebrate different festivals also like Lohri, Ganesh Chaturthi, etc

For mca course is of 2 years and I have paid 120000 per year without a hostel. That is feasible for me. But for b.tech guys is a little expensive. Hostel fees depend on your room choice. The hostel is of AC and non AC that charges differently.

For me, I haven't taken a loan so I don't know much about the loan. but they do provide a scholarship to those who secure a good academic history also with good or 100% attendance. They ask you about your achievements also in past.

For extracurricular activities, many events happen in which u can participate. In QUBIT there are mind games also in TECHNOVIT. Sports activities are also there. Cricket, badminton, basketball, table tennis are also played here.

Hostel fees depend on your room choice. The hostel is of AC and non AC that charges differently. AC rooms are very expensive with no ac in the day time. 2 and 3 seaters are very conjugated but 4 seaters are very much good.

For personally I have never been contacted by my seniors. But yes they were helpful in means of notes, can, selecting courses, placement also. The Alumni network is also good. The college community takes your details for future reference.

I have given the entrance exam for Pg. Where I got some rank. They invited for the counseling process. But due to personal problems, I didn't attend counseling. Then on seat availability they called me telling me, there is a seat on the Chennai campus, if I m interested then can take admission. Then I came to get admission.

The faculty of every college is the same. Means some are rude some are helpful. Some faculty don't teach good some teach very well. So there is mix review for them. like every college teachers are of mixed nature.
