Remarks

Graduation day is celebrated before the final semester exams and graduation robes are not provided which we are still demanding for. We hope for the best. Also the canteen is in the 3rd floor which is difficult for us to climb every time we are hungry. ( we are not allowed to use the lifts).

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The syllabus is very smartly planned so as to give the students a collective experience in all fields related to the course. There are 2 exams, a mid-semester (for 30marks) and an end-semester (for 70 marks). There are class internal assessment (CIA) that adds the 10 marks to the mid-semester assessment.

Placement Experience

4

There is a separate cell known as placement cell. We would be asked to apply on the placement cell for both job opportunities and internships. We would be notified on a regular basis regarding the interviews and details.

College Events

5

We have many fests and cultural activities that include both intra and inter collegiate festivals. In between these festivals, department events will also be conducted to encourage the students from various other departments to have a knowledge on other fields also. There are events that are conducted by various teams like NSS to help the poor and illiterates.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since the institution is from a Josephite network, the fee structure is very feasible. Also there is no donation during the admission as they select students only based on their marks. The main aim of the institution is to help the Christian society but they also consider students from other religion with good marks.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't opted any loan facility from my college also I don't know if there is any. We have been notified with the scholarships that are provided outside the college privately since they don't provide a scholarship on their own.

Campus Life

4.5

Labs are well facilitated so as to support the students to work comfortably. Students are encouraged to give papers and research works for which the faculties also help us. There are separate teams for each and every sports like football, basket ball. There are qualified sports teachers to encourage the students with the special sports power.

Hostel Facilities

3

The sad part is that college only provides hostel facilities to boys and not for girls. Girls too have hostel but outside college. Since the locality where the college is situated there are many paying guests facilities most of the students opt for these PG s.

Alumni/Alumna

The institution conducts alumini meet every year. We get our seniors contact details through teachers who guide us with the additional notes and career options. Once we were given a chance to interact with seniors who are in good positions in their career to guide us to take better carrier options.

Admission

I was first asked to fill in an online application form following which I have to take a print out of the application copy and attach my documents (like Birth Certificate, Community Certificate, 10th Marks card, 12th Marks card, conduct certificate, Bonafied Certificate). Later I was called for a walk-in interview wherein I was asked few general questions regarding my course that I have choosed.

Faculty

5

Well qualified teachers with a minimum qualification of master of philosophy are only given a chance to teach the students. Doubts are clarified then and there. Teachers are very friendly to comfort the slow learners and the other students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

Placement Experience:

from 6th semister onwards students are eligible for pkacements. I dont know about the companies of placements as iam a fresher here. The placements here are really good in this course. After Msc forensic science the annual package in an average here is 2-5 lakhs. Almost 80% of forensic students get placement here. As iam pursuing my bachelors here, iam thinking of writing the entrance exam for NFSU gujarath for my Masters.

Placement Experience:

Our university has a training and placement office for the fourth and fifth year students. Before that you need to find internship opportunities yourself. The significant companies include EY, MoSpi, RBI, NSE etc. The is around 50% placements. The highest package was around 40 lakhs and the lowest 5 lakhs. I plan on working in the RBI after my degree.
