TECHNO INDIA, SALT LAKE ECE review

As a whole the college is good. The infrastructure is good which includes well equipped labs, classrooms, washrooms. The cantene was quite costly. The library needs to have more books. And they need to provide all semester books rather than giving 3-4 books out of 5 subjects. And dont promise to pay back security fees if you are so much arrogant after taking it.

Its a good course to study if you are interested in the sunbject. The semester exams are conducted by MAKAUT.They conduct exam for the 70 marks and the rest 30 marks are conducted through internal exams

The placements are good in the IT sector. Students of CSE and IT and ECE get lots of opportunity to start a career in IT industry. But ironically students of core engineering streams dsnt get a placement in core sector. Core ECE companies dobt come for placement. They dont provide internship facility

Lots of events related to sports, technology are celebrated over here. Our year starts with intra college Tech fest - geekonix. Students of 1st and 2nd year participate in it. Then it's followed by anakhronas which is an open for all cultural fest. Then we have EDGE tech fest. Events like gaming, robotics are there.

We had a total course fee of 3.5 lacs. At the time of admission we had to pay rs 30000 extra. And the rest 3.2 lacs had to be paid through 8 semesters. We had to pay a security money of 10k which was ought to be paid back at the end of course but 1 year has passed and no one talks about it.

The college doesn't provide direct scholarship /loans. In MAKAUT we have a TFW scheme where a economically weak student can get 25-75% fee waived off. But there was no official announcement about it in college.

Extracurricular activities like robotics, cultural events are good, entertaining and helpful for students. Labs are well equipped. Lab assistants are bit arrogant. We had a intra college and inter college sports events like cricket and football

Our alumni students were good. They were quite helpful. They used to provide tips useful for exam. Even for placements, they guided us about the ethics that need to be followed to have a successful job interview.

I appeared for wbjee in 2014 and secured a rank of around nie thousand five hundred and then i was alloted with this college through centralized counseling by jee board in their 2nd round of counseling.

Some of the faculties are good and well behaved and reach students in a friendly manner. They are quite helpful. Lab assistants are quite arrogant and their attitude level rests above the main teacher.
