A very good private college in town.

My college is overall very good for studying and placements but their should me more fun things in our college like a good canteen. There should be more lifts in our college. Our college should build a hostel somewhere nearby for students.

The course curriculum is very well planned.As i am talking particularly about IT so we have total 8 semesters ie. it's a 4 year full time course and after each semester we have a training on latest technologies to keep ourselves updated with the outside world.we have different technical contests and events to explore different domains in IT and to gain more knowledge.we have 4 internal exams and one semester exam per semester and the marks distribution is like , internals carry 30% marks and the semester carry 70% marks, so overall cgpa is calculated according to this. After 1st year a student can change their stream if they are holding avg cgpa 8 or above.

The placement in my stream i.e. IT is very good around 100 different companies comes for placement and with different type of jobs and salary packages.Companies with high pay scale packages also come but take very few students with them.Mass recruiters hire most of the students. Talking about internships it depends on companies ,if companies are ready to give students internships college allows to go in our 4th year and onwards. Job opportunity is very good in my college and before placements start college also grooms for the placements like communication skills,aptitude skills and other things as well.

There are many events celebrated in my college: 1st year:Fresher's welcome party Edge: A technical fest ,biggest technical fest in kolkata. InspirIT: IT departmental cultural fest DeAthletico:It departmental sports event Smartians:Social awareness event Anakhronos:college cultural fest

I am not aware of scholarships but we have a bank in our college PNB which helps you to give loan for study. students from outside west bengal take their loan from their hometown banks generally. My friends availed some scholarships after their 1st year depending on their cgpa in 1st year of college.

WE have a swimming pool in our college and a cricket ground ,computer labs mechanical workshops, civil workshops,electronic labs,electrical labs,chemical labs.All of them in very good condition except the swimming pool it doesn't get clean very often.

My college campus is not very large, it is situated in middle of the city.But we have beautiful campus among all other private colleges in kolkata but there is no hostel facility in my college. There are lots of pgs nearby college students generally lives there and there are flats available also at very cheap rate for students so many students live there also.

The alumni network is not that strong very few alumni which are still in contact with department and do good things for college.But all the seniors and alumni are very helpful who are still in touch.They always helps us through their experience.

The faculty are very helpful,professional and intelligent. They always inspire us to think out of the box for doing something innovative and not only stick to the academics.They don't pressurize us for anything ever.They are the coolest teachers we had ever met.Whenever we are in any type of of trouble they are always there for us, to guide us in a right way.
