In India last two years NIRF Ranking 9th and 2nd. The college serves great education and great life changing lessons. The college premises is very much well decorated with flower trees. The college has a breathtaking stock of books.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is currently best in the city of Kolkata. As it is an autonomous college, the governing body and the teacher's council decide the syllabus structure. That's why the course curriculum is compact for the three year course. It covers all the aspects of the subjects and sometimes more than that. As it is an autonomous college, it has own gradation system which follows the semester (half yearly) system.
Placement Experience
Yes, after master's there are a lot of Job opportunities but my college gives the basic understanding of subject. My college provide internships but they don't pay for that. A lot of great research opportunities are there as lab work or research work.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Very much feasible. Even people from backward classes get extra benefit. The monthly hostel and mess charge will be around 5000 rupees. That means fooding and lodging. The college fees are very much cheaper.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes my college provides scholarship to the needy students. They can also provide some government funded scholarships. Loan facilities are not there. There are also many scholarships where govt of India sends the money directly to the students
Campus Life
There are a lot a lot a lot of curricular activities. From annual sports day to essay drama and quiz competition. They celebrate the memorial lecture series. They celebrate independence day, republic day.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel accommodation is mandatory for this college. You have to stay at the hostel rooms. On average each room has 5 beds, and 2 fans, and enough lights. The hostel environment is damn good. People make awesome friends there.
Alumni/Alumna
They are very much helpful. Most of them are pursuing PhD. The senior students don't follow the ragging. They believe in brotherhood. They helps a lot in college but certainly after college they still keep the touch.
Admission
First I saw the advertisement and then I filled up the form through internet. One day I went there for admission test. They published a merit list for the interview process. On the next day I went for the interview. After interview they again published the names of the finally selected candidates and the waiting candidates.
Faculty
As I am affiliated to PhD right now, I can say the faculties on specific departments are the best version of Indian teachers. They present the subject not as a book reading information but as a thought provoking challenges. They are immensely helpful and delightful persons.
