No such bad remark, but there is a lot of scope for improvement in the college. Any student who takes admission here would gonna love this place.
Entrance Preview
To get into DTU you first have to clear JEE- Mains(AIEEE) which is conducted by the CBSE board across the nation. I got about 200+ marks in it and had a decent percentage in the 12th board exams of 87% which got me a rank of about 30K. For a general category student, I would say that they should try to get above 90% in borads and 180+ in mains.I opted for DTU over other colleges as it has good reputation, infrastructure and placements in this college is also good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course and curriculum is fine. Its same as other engineering colleges in the country. In the first year, every branch has the same syllabus.
Internships Opportunities
Several companies come for internship programme in the college. Some of them are Amazon, Microsoft, Practo, Simmons, Deloitte, Flipkart, Samsung, etc. Several startups also visit the campus to hire interns. Minimum stipend starts from 15K and goes to 50K.
Placement Experience
There is no lack of job opportunities in the college. Big names such as Amazon ,Microsoft, Adobe, Samsung, Deloitte, Flipkart visit the campus every year to participate in the hiring process. The average package offered is about 10-11 Lacs for tech, profile and 7-8 lacs for non -tech profile. DTU is above some best colleges of India in terms of placement opportunities.
College Events
There are several tech and non tech societies in the college and they all organise their events throughout the year. There are two main fests held in the college. These are the tech fest and the cultural fest. both these fests are in month of feb. The cultural fest is one ofthe best things in the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees for the current freshers batch was about 1Lac a year. So, its not easy to say. There is loan facility for the students by the SBI branch of the college which solves this issue for the childeren coming form lower middle class and poor families.
Fees and Financial Aid
As told above there is a loan facility provided by the State Bank of India(DCE Branch). Also, the college provides scholarship to the students who have low family income. Otherwise, students can apply for the govt. scholarships as well as private scholarships.
Campus Life
College Life is just awesome. You can fully enjoy the environment of the college. With a remarkable infrastructure and sited away from the crowded places of Delhi, it is the most amazing place during the evenings. There is no lack of opportunities for the students who want to pursue other fields too. Cricket ground, football ground , Literary society holding debates,etc.
Hostel Facilities
There is no hostel facilities for the students of the Delhi region otherwise the hostels are the best. With all facilities such as LAN, good conditioned rooms, etc. Mess is also good with affordable food for all the students.
Alumni/Alumna
There is very good understanding between the juniors and seniors. Juniors can go and interact with their seniors without any hesitation. Also seniors love to help the juniors. Almuni network of the college is also good.
Exam Structure
There is semester system in the college. Also there is mid sem exams held in every semestr of 20 marks. The end sems are of 70 marks each.Each semester is of 1000 marks (10 subjects each of 100 marks). There are 4 practical subjects and 6 theory subjects.
Faculty
Faculty in the college is also great. You can learn a lot from them.
