Entrance Preview
I took EAMCET and got 21, 205 as EAMCET rank and have couple of options in my local city also but I joined SCET which is in another town and traveled daily. You can know by this time why I chose a college which is in another town instead of mine.
Course Curriculum Overview
As my college belongs to JNTU, every course structure is analyzed by the JNTU itself. When college picks the electives, they choose to elect a subject which is useful to the student and it is helpful when compared to the market values.
Internships Opportunities
No, my college doesn't provide internship, so there is no general stipend. My college has solid 15 years of experience which was started in the year 2001.
Placement Experience
As I passed out in the year 2010, there are very less opportunities available due to huge recession in 2009. But my college tried to bring some companies:Seagate - 2.8 lakh pa, Infosys - 3.5 lakh pa Seagate is the company where they selected around 60 students and didn't provide offer letters to any one.
College Events
As SCET is growing year by year, Management has managed few events which were: Annual day celebrations: It is a big event where there are multiple dance performances, singing performances and some skits followed by prize distribution and then dinner.
Fee Structure And Facilities
At that time, fee is Rs. 26000 per year and initially there are no scholarship as well. This fee is burden to a middle class family but the fee is all same for all engineering colleges.As I travelled to other town, my college provides decent buses and they charged around Rs. 7000 per year which is feasible amount.
Fees and Financial Aid
Initially there is no scholarship available for students other than SC, ST and BC. Later Andhra Pradesh government has introduced scholarship for other castes also so we have availed that offer in our final years.
Campus Life
The campus life is very good. We have 60 people in class and out of sixty, we have around 32 boys and 28 girls which is almost equal. We have sports like cricket, football, volley ball, kabaddi, high jump, long jump etc to participate and they are very enjoyable.
Hostel Facilities
My college provides decent food as I ate only few times as my mother provided me lunch almost all the days(4 years). They provide lunch for only Rs. 20/- and break fast for Rs. 5/-. The quality of the food is decent but not bad. I visited my friend's room
Alumni/Alumna
If there is any new event is happening, entire alumni network is intimated if they are eligible to that event. They might be helpful or not helpful based on the event organized.
Exam Structure
Structure is finalized by JNTU and the question paper has 4 sets.Subsequent persons will get different sets in order to avoid mal-practice.In total, there are 8 questions, out of which 5 has to be answered. There is no jumbling process during my study per
Faculty
Faculties are very interested to teach a topic in detail and at max they tried to share the topic which will reach till the last bench as you know that last bench needs some special care.All faculties are graduated(minimum). Some were completed with M.Tec
