Remarks

There's a lot more planned for the college now that they received accreditation from the centre. This paves way soon for research based activities in college level to make industry ready candidates. The professors believe in what the students want to do only if the students believe in themselves. I was someone who wanted to make something and took it to the professor who by hook or crook helped me making it a reality. I graduated with some of the best friends I've ever known in my life from here.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum is best defined to give a new engineer the best base for a future ahead. Whether it is core or non core. There's ample opportunity for internships, pick up technical skills with the various in college events and fests. You can find what exactly you're good in and soon be a master of that domain

Placement Experience

5

Everything is taken care by the placement cell. All based on GPA. Have a great GPA, get shortlisted to the best internships and then it's all in you to crack the interviews. The stipends for achievers go well beyond 1L per month. That's about 3-4 from the entire batch. But on average easily around 20-30 is the stipend. Again all depending on the type of company coming in on that year. Maybe this year Microsoft comes in and next year Google. Can't tell which when.

College Events

5

Phase shift the technical fest. Biggest tech fest in Bangalore. You have so many events. And worry not. For the creatives this fest has events for you as well. From movie making to TV quizzes this is when your brain runs. I myself made a short movie in under a day scripting writing and everything and won the event when i was in college. Super fun Then comes utsav. You don't have to tell anything more about that. The best cultural event South Bangalore has to offer. Craziest cultural events, big stage, stardom, insanely massive event. With stuff from National level bboying to mountaineering activities like rock climbing and ziplining. All inside the campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There are multiple structures of this. CET merit is the most feasible. Crack that. Then there's a payment seat (Comedk) and then there's management entry that goes to about 4-6L a year depending on the branch you're looking for. Core branches fees are higher than branches like biotech

Fees and Financial Aid

There are government based loans and scholarships that students apply to every year and based on merit gpa get their scholarships. Apart from that the in college bank has student loan programs that are easy to access

Campus Life

3.5

You can run a gaming competition there. The labs are so well equipped. Trust me. We did. All facilities are ac and come with free access for all students. Sports budgets are easy to claim and fund any new sport that you need. Apart from the 20-30 sports already sanctioned by the govt with funding for college teams

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I had not. But one of the cleanest facilities that I've seen till date. Cleaners come and go. Showers are cool. There's solar hot water. WiFi. Reading areas. Everything a student needs. Food can be taken at the hostel mess. Or being in the hub of basuvangudi there's something for everyone. Punjabi Rajasthani Telugu mallu cuisine chat and what not

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is quite strong. So strong that people can easily recognise you if you say you're from BMS Bangalore. This works even in USA where there are many respectable alumni settled there in multiple top posts. Some even come down in times to attend the alumni dinner that is hosted every year

Admission

I wrote the exam of CET and Comedk. Post exam results, there was a councelling session. It's an online process where you get to choose what stream you are interested in and in which college. One you have your list of priority of course college, you submit it for a lock in. And on councelling result day, you get allotted which course and which college you get allotted. Yes you can choose multiple courses in the same college in the priority list.

Faculty

3.5

Certain faculty are highly skilled in terms of where they are coming from. They take effort in making time to make sure the student has learnt. But according to me, today, everyone's a student. The faculty does not shy away from learning from the students themselves. Talk about humility. Nandini Vineet ma'am in CSE <3

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

From 6th semester we will become eligible for campus placements. Very few companies will visit for chemical engineering those are aslo not core. Highest package offered for a chemical engineering is 600000 I guess this aslo a long back. But dont take a hope on placements here in chemical weapons. Do mainly focus on Gate exam. Get good score go for mtech or apply for good core jobs for interview.
