Faculty & Academic Excellence

Likes

The faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The campus is clean, well-maintained, and has good infrastructure.
The college encourages participation in cultural events and skill development activities.

Dislikes

Placement opportunities could be improved by inviting more companies.
More practical sessions and industry exposure would benefit students.
The college can organize more technical and cultural events.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well-structured and covers both theoretical and practical aspects. It provides a strong foundation for higher studies and career opportunities. Internal assessments and semester exams are conducted regularly, with a fair marking system. More industry exposure, internships, and skill-based training would further enhance students' learning experience.

My sweet college days!!

Likes

College environment was very neat and clean always.
The birds they kept at the front side campus were so pleasant and calm
Campus was large in size and comfortable

Dislikes

College management is very strict in handling students
College management allot less money as prize money for academic winners
Students should get pass even for 2 minutes late entry

Course Curriculum Overview:

The department of English not only offers good education but also so many values to lead our life. Faculties were so friendly in clearing students' doubts. There was personality development course to improve students' personality. Students had to choose any other subjects other than they are studying for sbi course. Due to this students learn about other subjects too.

Likes

The gender ratio is fairly close to 1:1 and it provides a proper environment for all to collaborate and interact.
Most of the faculty members are reachable.
Students usually get free by 4PM and have the remainder of the day to explore their own things.

Dislikes

More academics oriented - no room for placements on campus as such.
Unable to choose electives - have to do whatever course is available.
Infrastructurally very basic - lacks a lot of facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Has a lot of new age courses like MS Excel, Python and Data Science. It prepares you fairly well for roles like Data Analyst, Financial Modelling, etc. Areas for improvement include optimising the curriculum load as per the students. Two internals (one after a month after sem starts, second a few weeks before the end sem) and the end sem. I feel the end sem is relatively easier due to the preparation we endure for the internals.

First i thought of learning engineering but the fees was too high that I can't afford,so i choose this college which provides same placement opportunities as engineering college with top mncs abd provides many internship opportunities from your 2ndyr . You can apply for the college and courses directly on the college website after completing 12th and when the results are out . Students are selected based on their cuttoff amd according to cast reservation. Once you are selected you will asked to come for document verification and finally you can get into tca. I experienced so much good thing in my college. I had applied to many colleges such as Madura college, American college, Meenakshi college, Lady Doak college and Gandhigram University College and i got selected in all the colleges but the reason behind why i chose Thiagarajar is because of the distance. It's so near to my house and the collge set some high standards. The admission of Thiagarajar college is based on Online applications and cutoffs.
