Remarks

There is not such any negative prospective about college but college should improve infrastructure and library.Teachers are good but some teachers are rude.If you pass all the semester then u will get a good job.

Course Curriculum Overview

This is a btech course.Duration if course is 4 years. If u study well(no supplies) u will get a good job.2 internal exam,1 external exam for 1 semester.there are two semester in a year. You have to pass all the exam.

Placement Experience

Placement of my college is very good from the last year, 18 students got placed from computer science department.out of 19 eligible students. Rest of the students have supply so they are not able to sit in placement

College Events

3.5

They are many events celebrated in my college.my College is in kerala.and i am from north so for celebrating saraswati pooja celebration, we Northy students, organise and celebrate it and many more fest are organised in college like satva, disina, etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

This is a state government college.as per my reviews.the fees is little bit high as compared to other state government college.fees for 1 semester is around 45 thousand rupees.Hostels fees are not included in this.

Fees and Financial Aid

Few keralite students get scholarship from college as home quota but for northy there is no scholarship provided by college.few teacher and HODs are very helpful.they pay the fees of few students.who r from very poor background.

Campus Life

2.5

There are laboratories available in my college.sports ground are also available.Gym is also available.Library is available but not much helpful books are available. college need to make collection of good nobles and books related to course.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

My college is in a village area. Thus is a flood prone area.so the building are not so high.generally.building are one storey or 2 storey or ground floor only if someone expect a well infrastructure.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful.Especially for Freshers.as they don't have any knowledge able exam patterns. previous year question papers, local market.and many things.in this time seniors are very helpful.

Admission

First of all you have to fill the entrance examination form of CUSAT. After that exam is conducted, you have to clear the entrance exam of CUSAT CAT.The exam is online computer based exam. Then u will be able to get admission.

Faculty

4.5

College is good.its a state government college.faulty of our college is very good. They are highly educated and talented.Principal of my College is so cooperative and decent.they are very helpful in nature.

The campus is well maintained and is clean
Teachers are willing to give individual attention if needed

Dislikes

Lack of campus life as college is strict
Majority of the staff members are the type to hold a grudge against you
Spoon feeding students and not allowing them to think and improvise accordingly

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from semester 6 onwards. But campus placement for civil engineering is fairly low. But companies like Aarbee Structures Pvt Ltd has offered jobs for my mates

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Good learning environment with a good campus life

I choose Cochin University Of science and technology for Mtech Instrumentation Technician beacuse of its good reputation, affordable fees, and experienced faculty, and better focus on core technical subjects. I also got admission to Delhi University, but i prefer CUSAT because it was more affordable and better suited for instrumentation and automation studies. Admission to CUSAT is mainly based on GATE score and eligibility in a relevant BTech degree. The admission procees include online application and a exam DAT , rank list based on DAT , documenr verification, and fee payment. The overall process was simple and smooth...Read More

Life of CUSATian

I have only applied to CUSAT, we i was not able to get admission there i would choose to work in a company. It was just a try from my side, but it actually worked out. For MTech, GATE qualifiers can direclty get the admission without any other exams. They can also avail monthly stipent of around Rs 10000. Other exam for admission is DAT exam which is conducted by the respective department of the course. I have taken the DAT exam under the Department of Statistics , where this MTech Data Science and Analytics is present. The eligibility includes BTech or MSc. Cutoff is majorly based on the number of students writing the exams and the number of seats. So cutoffs can vary. Students are selected based on the DAT ranklist. Spot admission is conducted for the remaining seats. There is also a least chance for students who didnt write the DAT Exam can also get the admission at the 2nd or 3rd spot admissions....Read More
