Remarks

Overall the college is good. Most of the students join this college for getting a good package at a good company and a good profile to work which most of us do get. For 3rd year students also companies visit for offering students internship and most of them get converted to ppos.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curricular for first years is not that good as we had to study subjects from all other branches than the one we are studying in, which can be interesting for some people but what i have observed is most of the students don't like these subjects as much as they like subjects from 2nd year. There are 3 tests and 3 quizzes conducted in each sem with a lab internal and a lab external for lab subjects.

Placement Experience

5

Around 90+% of the students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 53 LPA, the lowest is 4.5 LPA and average is 11 LPA. The top recruiting companies are CISCO, MICROSOFT, GOLDMAN SACHS, SALESFORCE, JPMC, ATLASSIAN, CITRIX etc. Students get a job as software developers, project managers, and cybersecurity. Around 60% of students got an internship in various companies.

College Events

4

There are many clubs in the college. Also, there are many technical clubs for technical development. There are social service-oriented clubs like Rotaract club of RVCE which is the biggest Rotaract club in Asia and NSS. There is a technocultural fest called as the 8th mile which is the biggest fest in Bangalore

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is costly as compared to some of the colleges and less costly when compared to some other colleges. It is different for all types of students, types here refers to the entrance exam they gave to get admission in the college. I don't know about other modes but for kcet it would be around 87000 per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not sure about this answer but I think college does not provide any scholarship. But there are many scholarships from the government of India and the government of Karnataka. For example there are scholarships on websites like epass and nsp etc.

Campus Life

4

There are clubs in various fields of engineering like coding club, frequency club, astra robotics, vyoma, carb kannada, carv Hindi etc which are fun and entertaining and students get to learn a lot from those clubs. You will enjoy your college life for sure. The best part is the sports. You have the coolest indoor basketball stadium and grounds for all other sports. They provide an opportunity to play for the college team and there is also a gym which is payable but worth the amount for sure.

Alumni/Alumna

I don't know how it goes in other departments or in other branches of engineering in r v c e, but in the branch i belong to interaction with seniors happens a lot. Infact seniors love interacting with juniors. sometimes seniors come to juniors' classes and tell us about the things to do and things not to do and other things on how to prepare for placements and higher studies for those who are interested in pursuing higher studies

Admission

I have got admission in the college through an entrance exam named kcet which stands for Karnataka common entrance test. Kcet is a state level entrance examination. Kcet is held to pursue bachelor of Engineering in state engineering colleges. Most of these engineering colleges in karnataka are Affiliated to VTU i. e. , visveraiyya technological university. R v college or engineering, the college I study at is an Autonomous Institution Affiliated to VTU. When a college is autonomous, then the professors of the college have the right to set question papers and conduct exams whereas In other v t u colleges., VTU Belagavi sets the question papers for all the colleges or institutes under VTU.

Faculty

4

Teachers are well qualified, and they keep sharing their knowledge with us, they are well updated with the upcoming market trends and technologies and keep sharing such thoughts. The course curriculum is completely relevant for the students as it offers great packages also a lot more research within this field. It makes the student industry-ready.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

From 6th semester we will become eligible for campus placements. Very few companies will visit for chemical engineering those are aslo not core. Highest package offered for a chemical engineering is 600000 I guess this aslo a long back. But dont take a hope on placements here in chemical weapons. Do mainly focus on Gate exam. Get good score go for mtech or apply for good core jobs for interview.
