Best University in Kerala

Positive side is that the School of Engineering CUSAT is well equipped with amenities and infrastructure but CUCEK lacks miles behind like a college we see in 90's films. Even basic facilities aren't there. Major part of the fund is spent for SOE, while the fund to CUCEK are scammed by authorities and officials so that development is still a dream for them.

Too bad. Examination board is too careless that we don't get pass even if we write exams well. Sometimes they simply make you fail even if you write the exams well and when we apply for reevaluation, they keeps displaying same marks again.

Nowadays, placement cell has become good and are getting many opportunities in IT field. Core companies are very rare for Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering and Electrical engineering. Overall, if a student is looking for IT field job, one can get that.

All the events such as arts fest, sports fest, tech fest etc are conducted in grand manner. Also all the festivals such as Onam, Christmas etc are celebrated here under the leadership of the students Union here.

Fees are expensive for normal students and are much much cheaper for students with reservation. Fees are same for School of Engineering CUSAT and CUCEK but till CUCEK isn't having basic infrastructure.

Actually as an obc snd my Father is having job in co-operative field, I didn't get any scholarship. Students having reservation gets regular scholarship and also a scholarship for buying laptop. Also students from Muslim and Christian religion re eligible for MOMA scholarship. Still, the scholarship in charge staff tries not to give the scholarship to students so that they can take it into their pocket.

This University is best for extracurricular activities. Actually the credit goes to the Student's College Union. They used to conduct all these programs in a grand manner. Also the amenities are great for these.

Hostels are allotted according to many criteria like cast, income rank etc. Also many private hostels are available. College hostel is so cheap and private hostels are much costly. It would be better to take a house for rent for a group of students.

Alumni network is strong in social media as well as in real. Since many of the students are abroad, they can't make a get together and celebrate. But the relationship between them are strong enough to keep a good circle.

Got admission there after qualifying in CUSAT entrance exam 2014. After qualifying the exam, we need to select the courses according to our interested and need to attend the counselling on selected date. Dates will be according to the rank in the entrance examination. During the counselling we can select the course we need from the left available courses.

There are good permanent faculties as well as contract faculties. Usually, the permanent faculties knowingly makes the students fail if they have any sort of personal issue with the students. 50% of the faculties aren't even interested to teach students well.
