Remarks

It's a good option if you are 9nly concerned about your studies but 8f you are about social life and all you won't get that much here. I had a great experience made some amazing friends. Hope you do the same. All the best!!!

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The college takes studies very seriously. You have to maintain 75 percent attendance otherwise they make you repeat the semester. But the teachers are very good most of them have Doctorate degrees. And they are very helpful and they do their job perfectly. Also during our final year project, our mentor was very helpful. The last is also well maintained and you will never have an issue with the equipment. There are many seminars also that happens around the year and every year there is one industrial visit.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement has been improving every year. Many visited during my final year as well. The highest package offered was 7lpa but the good thing is almost all the students get placed in the CSE Department. That's not true for the other departments' thoughts. And another good thing is all the company visiting is genuine and the least package offered is 3lpa. Also, the college has tied up with amcat. So you get many companies there as well. Overall if you maintain a decent percentage you will have at least one offer by the end of your engineering.

College Events

3

There are mainly two fests that happen in college. Technical and cultural fest. That is vertex and swayam. I like Technical fest a lot. You will find so many good competition. The cultural fest is a decent college that can definitely improve upon them. There's no freshers day or farewell so that is the issue with the college. They do not pay much attention to the fest and all

Fee Structure And Facilities

I came from cet background so for me it was very less. And it's very cheap for cet students. In fact for management students, I believe it's a good option because the fees are not that much but you get quality education and placement. If you are not too concerned about the fest and other activities. This college is a good option for about 3 lakh per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not opted for any education lone so I won't be the right person to answer this also I don't have any idea about it. There is some scholarship when taking admission as Mvj holds its own entrance test so if you do good in that. They might reduce some amount from fees. But I don't know about any other scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is relaxing. The campus is not very big but it's all covered with trees so it gives a good feel around the campus. Just live any other engineering colleges you won't find many girls and the gender ratio is not that great. There are few clubs though if you are interested. But there is not inequality or issues like that.

Alumni/Alumna

Being around 30 years old college. It has a very huge alumni network. And during orientation, there were some alumni who came are talked with us. And there was one alumni team they have stared there own company they had also come and even recruited around 6 students.

Admission

I got into college through CET. I had opted for computer science. The admission process is very easy which was made by the admission department of MVJ. They were very helpful and made the process very easy. Why I choose this college is because it's one of the oldest technical colleges in Bangalore. And I had friends who were already studying there especially if you are planning to choose computer science as your course. And recently college also became autonomous which is a good thing. The college campus is well maintained and the canteen food is good but being a Jain College you won't find non-veg food inside. Overall my 4 years were great and you will have fun.

Faculty

4.5

I don't know the exact number but the CS department had around 30 40 lecturers. And all of them hold specialization. Many hold PDH as well. The college takes studies very seriously and Hance so does the lectures. Most of them are in the there mid-30s and some of them have been with the college for 10 years as well. I found the pedagogy of teaching to be more subjective but they are of high standards. You will have about 50 to 60 lectures per subject per semester. This is not the case in most of the VTU colleges This shows how serious they are toward studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs
