Remarks

Almost everything I describe by giving all the answers but one thing I could say in my point of view is that my college which is Guru Ghasidas University is a Central University. Being Central University is a positive tag. Two important negative points for my University is that number 1 lack of infrastructure, 2 lack of permanent teachers or faculties. but still university try to work well in between their limited resources which sometime cause difficulties to the student because the above mentioned 2 negative points are very basic need of any institution.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

All the courses are affiliated by the UGC ( The University Grant Commission) so all courses are great for learning purpose of particular subject, but no actual practical knowledge can be gained except for few departments, like - forestry, rural technology, education department. The exam is taken in semester pattern, i.e., twice in a session, mostly in month of December and May. Apart from that different departments have their own exam pattern, like in few departments there are are internal examinations held twice in a semester. In a semester each subject is total of 100 marks maximum, 70 for main semester exam + 20 internal exam + 10 other ( varies from departments to department).

Placement Experience

1.5

When it comes to the job placement and internship opportunity it's actually none but still few of the internship facility is available in very few departments like forestry, information technology department and education department, other than that no placement and internship facilities are provided.

College Events

4.5

In a whole year many events are organised in college. As in the even semester annual festival of various departments are celebrated. let's start from the beginning in month of January basically there are two events the first one is the equilibrio which is also called techfest, the first of IT department, then after universities sports week is organised. And then as I said various annual festival of various departments one by one. Apart from that the convocation ceremony is also organised in the even semester. The university establishment day is also celebrated in the month of January. All these things goes upto April before semester exams. Then in next semester various kinds of workshop, guest lectures are organised by the University and various departments, open to join by any people.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I would say that fee structure is feasible. The recent fee hike was held in 2017, which still keep the fee affordable, for example now B.Com course cost 7000 per annum, the Law courses costs 15000 per annum, so that's why I would say it is feasible. also I can give you the PDF for fee structure if options provided to attach so apart from this the same is available on university website.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship facility is actually provided to the 4 class or categories people, 1. Scheduled tribes, 2. Scheduled castes, 3. Other backward classes, 4. Minorities by the state and national Government both for this notification is issued by by the University itself. But no loan facility by the college is provided.

Campus Life

3.5

extra curricular activities are amazing you can just follow your passion in whatever passion you are interested in whatever kind of sport you used to play. Anna University tennis endless possibility for the extra curricular activity teams or individual players use to go for the state level and national level by participating. Every kind of extra curricular activity is available whether it is related to art, sports musical, dance or anything else.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The infrastructures for the new hostel are great, as they just new built and which are allotted to the freshers student. But old hostels are not that great as they were old. But in both hostels WiFi is available and the basic facilities are almost equal. The food is OK type, not that great not that bad. It costs Rs 2400 per year for hostel rent, and for mess it costs 2700 per month. and it is compulsory to pay for both if you want to take hostel. Also hostel is available at limited seats to various department and on that also reservation system applies.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is good, because it's completely depends upon the students that if they wanted to invite their seniors to have lectures and have their experience on field so it's quite good and at the same time it is very helpful to understand that which field work you should go and pick and actually how you have to work to achieve your desired position

Admission

The university announces the schedule for the application date, and entrance exam called VET ( Vishwavidyalaya Entrance Test). The admission for every new session starts in month of April and continues for whole month. One can apply for admission either online by website or offline in college. Then the college issues admit card for the entrance exam. Afterwards entrance exam is held in month of may (mid may) mostly, then the university announces result of entrance exam (VET) in June and then the counselling starts for verious subject in their respective departments.

Faculty

3.5

Teachers are quite good and cooperative, the only minus point in the few of teachers is that they are not fluent in English. But this thing is in few teachers apart from that teachers are well qualified well trained well deserving have their own distinction for their subjects have quite good grip on that. Apart from all this teachers give 100% to the students who are eager to get knowledge and want to study, teachers of helpful. So if you are serious about your study and teachers are absolutely going to give you there time and their knowledge to you.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course I took was bba llb.. as I was interested in management aspects along with wit law, the structure gives for an integrated study of both the subjects at the same time. The student-faculty ratio is good and the faculty are very approachable for any academic help and the atmosphere is quite free and I feel that is a big factor for a law school. The term exams were always held in time and can be passed with low to mid difficulty if given with some sincerity as 40% marks are allowed to internals.and 60% to written exams. and passing is 50%.

Overall, the college is really good and it is upon you how you want to make the best out of the innumerable opportunities available. I believe the faculty can get better and more professionals can be recruited to teach. The mess facility was bad but with the new Vice Chancellor in our college, things are starting to get better. We also have juice shops, laundry services, AMUL, fast food centres and salons in our college itself. The library is huge and has access to all kinds of material we might need. Otherwise, the library is always open to suggestions on what the students need.

Admission:

I had to write CLAT to get into this National Law University. I chose it because I wanted to become a lawyer. I was a science student but then I wasn't sure if I wanted to become an engineer. But then I saw CLAT as an option. I explored the career of a lawyer. I used to think it's the traditional court profession but understanding later, I got to know about the corporate experience provided by the law firms. As I wanted to get into corporate sector I chose CLAT over JEE examination.

My university is average in everything. People are doing good here. Many of its alumnus are in very good law firms or company, some have cracked civil services, some have judicial services, some have done or are doing their P.G from very good colleges in the world like Harvard, NUS etc. So we can see it as a good investment by taking admission here.
