Remarks

Don't expect much breaks in 4 year B.Tech course period because you ain't getting any. There's barely anything to get excited about the social life. The area in which the college is located is also kinda isolated and the Mangalore city is more than an hour away.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course structure is pretty standard and nothing to complain about besides each sem being as long as 4 months excluding the examination. Each sem break has never been more than 3 weeks which is really sad.But the college being affiliated to VTU, the examination process and evaluation is horrendous and big let down.

Placement Experience

4.5

The only bright spark about this college is the placement opportunities. But the placement department has a lot of restrictions early on in the college life. The college has also partnered with couple of reputed companies for internships which is a good opportunity.

College Events

2

Our college barely celebrates anything. There are no leaves for any festivals and neither are they being celebrated.Only Onam, fresher's day, college fest and Kannada rajyothsava is celebrated and they also find a way to celebrate in a non working day.No Bharat bandh or state hartaals are followed by this college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible if you get admission through entrance exams or minority groups.Otherwise it's pretty average, not to expensive or feasible. The hostel fees and mess fees are also above average and not worth it.

Fees and Financial Aid

Me being a non-kannadiga student don't know much about loans and scholarships being availed by the students. But I know localities and Kannidigas avail loans and scholarships on a regular basis if the underlying conditions are met.

Campus Life

3

Extra curricular activities were not encouraged until recently since it being mandatory in the latest VTU scheme.Gender ratios vary from branch to branch but still holds a healthy ratio in that regard. There are no Dorm parties and will never happen at this college too.Student diversity is below average.Besides south west Indian students there are very few students scattered from all over India.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

At this time of modern age the cellular network is poor in and around the hostel and even WiFi facilities are not provided which is really a huge let down. The hostel cleanliness is really good but besides that nothing worth mentioning.Even the build quality of the hostel is poor.

Alumni/Alumna

There is not a whole lot going around with the alumini network besides the rare alumini meets.A couple of successful alumini members have a talks with students eventually. The ex-students themselves take the initiative and the college doesn't bother helping them out.

Admission

I got in through Management Quota but also entrance exams like CET and COMED-K exists.Admission process was pretty simple. For the management quota admissions the fee structure depends on how late you join. The later the larger the tuition fees.

Faculty

2

Me being a CSE student I can only comment on the CSE faculties who are pretty much arrogant and shows blatant negligence that students are human beings. They have no respect towards human values and expect us to work like machines 24/7 365 days even during sem breaks.Their handling of subjects are average at best.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
