Remarks
College is quite strict in its curriculum for first and second year students. Students have to maintain good score and attendance in First year. But it's worth for it's good placements and teaching. The competition in here is very good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Computer Engineering course is just perfect in view of today's changing and growing trend in IT industry. It has covered almost each domain with perfect depth of topics in 4 years. They follow Pune University's exam pattern which is bit hectic but tests you in and out.
Placement Experience
PICT have the best Placements in Pune. The average package from Industries is around 8. 5 LPA and highest is around 40 LPA. Large number of IT companies visit campus for recruitment including IT giants. The College also provide internships from companies like Goldman, UBS etc with stipend around 75k per month.
College Events
The College has it annual technical event named Credenz which is a large event with almost 10k footfall. The College also have sports, art and cultural events. Elevate is a Intercorporate and intercollegiate sports event organized by College.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is feasible. The fees per year is around 1 lakh. It is very less compared to other autonomous Colleges. It also provides various scholarships for toppers or govt. Scholarships for reserved students.
Fees and Financial Aid
Government and University scholarships for reserved students and backward class students are availed by College. College also provide scholarships for toppers in University exams. College also provide joint educational loan by some local pune banks.
Campus Life
The number of boys is slightly more than girls. The atmosphere in here is perfect for IT education. There's a good competition in students. There are various events and workshops held in College. College have good labs facilities with high end technology.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel has fees around 90k per years. It has two sharing rooms. 24 hours Wifi is provided by College with high speed LAN aa well. Other facilities like 24 hour hot and cold water, mess facility in same fees ans sports and etc.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni of PICT is very strong in IT industries. Some of them are even CEO of well known companies. Many of them work with IT giants like Google, Microsoft, Facebook and etc. They are main reason for good placements in College.
Admission
The Admission was based on MH-CET / JEE scores. I chose this College and Computer Engineering branch aa it was well known for it's teaching and Placements. The Computer Engineering Dept. of PICT is the oldest Computer department in University and Maharashtra. There are only 3 branches out of which two are IT related. Computer Engineering is the most preferred one.
Faculty
This the main reason many students take admission at the College. This institute have the best faculty. Many teachers are PhD qualified. They have more than enough experience to teach the technical subjects.
