Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for INFORMATION SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING. Because it makes us familiar with the current with all the relevant technologies, which would be beneficial for our corporate life in future. Yes, the curriculum provides us with industry-specific knowledge. Which was only good for on-campus placement for service-based companies and not for any product based companies.
Placement Experience
The placements are well not good. The famous service-based companies like Mindtree, L&T, Mphasis, NTT DATA, etc visit our campus. Same procedure aptitude, programming, technical and the rounds are there. Around 80% of the students from CS/IS placed every year. Yes, the college provides placement training.
College Events
All the events like cultural and sometimes technical events are also held. The cultural events like fest, poojas etc are celebrated throughout the semester. Which gives positive vibes to all the students as well as faculty members. The technical events like paper presentation, hackathon, etc are also conducted.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As inflation is becoming high nowadays. In the same way, the fees has also increased everywhere. The fee structure includes college fee, placement training fee, exam conduction fees and different types of taxes included. Yes, the college provides transparency in the fee breakdown.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I didn't opt for any scholarships or education loan. But the college provides scholarship opportunities for the different categories.
Campus Life
The campus is good of the college SAPTHAGIRI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING. But, it is very small in terms of area. The gender is ratio is equal if we combine all the branches. The extracurricular activities are given less importance. The labs are in good condition. The sports are also good.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, there is alumni Meetup twice per semester conducted by our branch. They are helpful and yes we all had a great interaction with them.
Admission
I got the admission in the SAPTHAGIRI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING through the entrance exam conducted by ComedK. And I opted for the Branch INFORMATION SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING. I choose ISE because it teaches us all the relevant technological subjects which would be useful in the future in the industries. I choose this college because I heard it's good for education and it is.
Faculty
The faculty members are very smart, they help us and also at times they teach us life long lessons. There are 50 lectures for the per subject as per prescribed by the VISVESVARAYA TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY. They do there best to teach us. Some of the faculty members have relevant industry experience.
