AIOA, Noida
BEST AGRI-BUSINESS COURSE
REMARKS
My journey with the AIOA was pretty fun and insightful. I met people from different cultures, from different part of the world, worth different mindset. It was a kind of exposure which is hard to find anywhere else. Infrastructure itself is one of the best in the whole of India. Placements and faculty assistance was also impeccable.
FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
One year fee was 2.1 lacs approx, which was above par in comparison to other private colleges in the NCR region. Fee was to be paid on semester basis. Though the standard of infrastructure and placements offered during the campus placement made the pain worth it.
PLACEMENT WING
Placements were top-notch in the industry thanks to the corporate connections of Amity and our esteemed faculty members. Placement wing invited companies for the internship process and on-campus placement drive. Most of the companies which hired from our department, recruited students for the managerial and sales profile. I was looking for a job so I don't know much about the companies. But the course was pretty ideal in establishing a base for my own venture.
ADMISSION
I prepared for the CAT exam for 6 months and but could only secure 70 %ile. I opted for Amity University because my cousins have studied here and they were quite satisfied with the standard of teaching. I applied at the college with my CAT scores and next I was invited for the interview round. They grilled me on topics from my graduation subjects and then I was asked to pay the fee and present the original documents.
HOSTEL FACILITIES
Amity also provides accommodation facilities for the students coming from outstation. Students are awarded hostel seats on first first come serve basis. Two different tiers of hostel are available in amity, with AC and without AC. Annual charges of the hostel lie somewhere around 1 lakh for one semester and the facilities provided are also decent. Mess food is just average though.
CAMPUS LIFE
Events and activities are quite prevalent in our institute. Campus life is pretty awesome and glamorous in Amity. We learned a lot and enjoyed a lot at the same time. SANGATHAN was our annual sports fest in which students from every department took part. Amity Youth fest and many other annual fests were also part of our session in our college.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
Course curriculum was pretty descriptive and informative. First two semesters covered all the topics while next two semesters were aimed at bridging the gap between the agricultural sector and corporate world. Our syllabus made us capable enough of understanding the economy of agricultural domain and management of food business.
