Remarks

Positive comments: we can live a life at best we can enjoy every sort of things in and around the college. Full freedom Negatives: there are many no proper rules, no proper academic criteria, they only

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

Initially thought the course would give me a lot of exposure but in a days time it got vanished. Because iam very intrested in photography that’s the main reason i joined visual communication but there is nothing related to photography over time.

Placement Experience

0.5

There is no job placement or internship the college provides you for Visual communication. It’s ur own risk there wont be any support from the management. Other than this course you can expect placement training, and the college does provide internships for other courses

College Events

There will be a huge number of programs the college conduct. Inside & outside the campus. Like audio launch of movies, Hilaricus, college day, and even marriage functions does happen at times inside the campus

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure for visual communication is the highest as this was a technical cource according to the management. It costed me 40, 000 / per semester. Other than this course B.com, biotech are all nominal

Fees and Financial Aid

There is nothing offered by the college to the students. According to my knowledge but they do provide discount’s for students with 95% above scoring in the board exams. And there will be special discount for students with university ranks

Campus Life

Lab is good. There is photography & audio lab which is used only for showcasing. And there is mini theatre, auditorium, a big stage & space which can accommodate more than 3000 people at a time. Thanks

Alumni/Alumna

No there is no alumni meet held till now. Its a waste. Even I haven’t seen any alumni meets help for the elderly passed out batch even. In the time of 3 years there is no initiatives for this process.

Admission

I have heard that for visual communication hindustan college is doing good. So i have directly approached the management and applied for the course. Initially was in a dilemma of to which to OPT. Then finally chose visual communication

Faculty

Faculty team needs a young & fresh mind. Everything over there is so outdated and lazy. The couse and the faculty is all about enjoying, spending time, a huge number of IV in which you can enjoy & kill ur time instead of learning

girls to boys ratio is 1:1 is we consider all three branches with some courses with more male while other having for female.more or less the ratio is near 1:1
the most important thing for you is there is close to zero discrimination for you , whether you want to join any club or perform anything you are equivalent to students with others bachelor degree
octagon and library are the two things which are good as library is considered the biggest library among all nit's while octagon having 800 computers for students.NSO ground is also well maintained with the beautiful mig fighter jet to take cool phot

Dislikes

for first years hostel are well maintained if compared with others but don't expect much from hostel atlast this is a government college.in first year 3 to 4 person sharing room are there which was build to carry 2 person.
Quant and entrepreneur thing is not there as you might expect by seeing the nirf 9 ranking but it is not zero .they are growing clubs like profNITT and Sigma are young and they could do better
curfew timing for girls are 9 or 9:30 pm i guess be it any year. for boys ,only freshers have curfew with timing 9:30 pm.other than that any student can't step outside the college after 10 pm without the sign out form.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as maths is the mother of all science and quite related to other fields so it opens a lot of door for me like mba ,mtech ,phd or any other things. this course is specifically designed for becoming teachers so keep that in mind before taking this course as they are not flexible in changing curriculum or adding something for the sake of students as of now. also you will be having more working days compared to other courses with 80 percent mandatory attendance.after first sem you will get 1 week holiday and after 2nd sem you will get 50.days holiday and after first year you can expect 20 days holiday for winters and 50 days holiday for summers. you will get a lot of time to study for exams. before ct 1 you can expect 2 months and then atleast a month for ct 2 and endsems. cons are that you don't have the right to choose minor or electives like btech students.you have to compulsory study all three science .i.e. maths , physics, chemistry.

With regards to training and placements the college is very good . All training as per DGMA and IMU is strictly followed and the placements for B.Sc is 90% and above . The faculties and instructors in the college are well experienced and skilled.
The college is strict regarding alcohol and smoking and it is not allowed inside campus and regular alcohol checks are conducted . Discipline and safety is the first priority for the college.
Classrooms are air conditioned. Hostel rooms are good . Any defects in rooms or any places inside college which are addressed are rectified.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

The faculties are very well experienced and there are captains who stay in the campus itself, so if there’s something we need they will be available all the time
The facilitieslike labs, ship in campus, DB tank facilities etc are top notch
The classrooms are fully air conditioned. There’s smart board. Overall everything is really good and also neat and clean

Dislikes

Galley food can improve a little and canteen is comparatively small for such a big campus
They are not conducting intra- college events and inter-college events is very less

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.

Average experience in HICAS

I chose this college because it had Full-time timings unlike some nearby colleges that provides part-time timings. The overall admission process could be described as smooth. Plenty of guidance and information was given regarding the documents needed, the facilities available and the fee structure and other detailed information. It allowed for comparision between other institutions and making the decision process easier. Changing the timings at the final year was inconvinient because I had chosen this college because of these specific timings....Read More
