Remarks

75% is compulsory. Below that you are detained. It is a paperless university. Which means it has its online management system called UMS(University Management System).Everything is online here.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is well designed. In each course, you will have 6 units. Exams are conducted two times a semester. Half of the syllabus i.e. 3 units are in mid term exams(MTE's) which are of generally 40 marks. The exam can be of objective type or of subjective type. The final exams i.e End Term Examination are of 70 marks which consists of full syllabus i.e all 6 units. The exam can be i.e. fully subjective or subjective + objective or fully objective. The syllabus of most the courses are easy and can be easily covered. The syllabus is designed according to placements but that syllabus is not sufficient for competitive exams because whatever taught in class is basics.

Placement Experience

5

Companies like Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Sprinkle Data, FSS, TCS, ICICI Bank etc. visits the campus for recruitment. For each company, there are different rounds which took place. Every year approximately 85% to 90% students got campus placement. Some students have even more than 1 offer with them till their final semester. If any company is giving internship, university allow that student to go for internship. Also, students can opt for off campus and walk in drives. University also take mock drives and tests so that every student is always placement ready. At the end of 6th semester, special placement classes are provided to the students according to their weaker areas like for soft skills, aptitude and programming

College Events

5

Every year there are various fests that happened in the university. The main fest of the company is Youth Vibe. Apart from that n numbers of events happen in the university. Everyday something happens in the university. The main problem is that students are not allowed to attend fests during their class hours. They can either attend class or fest. If they opt to attend the class, they are marked as absent for that particular lecture they missed.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible as compared to other universities. The fee is paid semester wise. Different students have different fees structures according to scholarships provided to them. The fee varies from 20k to 98k for the students. For each semester, their is last date to clear all the dues otherwise fine is charged to the student.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got scholarship through LPUNEST exam. The actual fee per semester is approximately 98 thousand but for me it was 55 thousand.

Campus Life

5

The campus life is awesome. You meet new people everyday. Great structure but not infrastructure because it also includes good internet which is not good at all. But there is a chance of getting it better because they have already collaborated with Jio to provide high speed wifi. But as of now its only available in some hostels only. Great amount of extra curricular activities. In this aspect, as per my experience, it's really great. But obviously you might face some difficulties sometimes. Great environment. The environment is just perfect with more trees and comparatively less cars. And the roads are good. Even the buildings and everything is really clean. We also have electric rickshaw. Pure vegetarian food which is really really good. You would love it.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes, I was opted for hostel. The hostel rooms varies from single sitter to 5 sitter and than dormitory which is for 10 to 12 persons. The average rental for hostel is from 50 thousand for 5 sitter air cooled to more than 1 lakh for single sitter AC rooms.

Alumni/Alumna

Presently LPU students are working with prestigious global companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon and many more at salary packages of more than Rs one Crore. Corporate like Tech Mahindra, Amazon, and Capgemini alone have recruited 100 students each in this (2017) placement session.

Admission

The admission criteria in this university is very simple and transparent. I took admission in this college because it is the best in class university among all private university. The placement records if the university is also better than other private universities. Also if considered financially, the fee structure is also affordable as compared to other universities.

Faculty

4

Most of the faculties are freshers and not well experienced. The average age of the faculties is approximately 27 years. They don't have much teaching experience but they try their best to tell everything all clear your doubts. The lecture is of one hour each. They teach through PPT's and if needed they provide PPT's to the students. You can get your queries solved in faculty rooms too.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
