Remarks

College is good for the students who want to pusue further education in laws. It offers courses as LL.B,LL.M and B.A.LL.B. As it is taking very high fees they are not provide very worst facilities as compared to other colleges and universities taking less fees.

Course Curriculum Overview

In this course semester sister is followed also MST(Mid Semester Test) also taken. There in course are 6 subjects which are compulsory and there will be choice between hindi or punjabi as a part of regional language.

Our don't provide any placement or job oppotunity for the students but prepare students to choose profession of lawyer. College provide internship in 9th sem for students in Ludhiana court and condicts moot courts for students.

College Events

Every year college conducts National Moot Court Competetion to provide exposure to students. College also sent students for participation outside colleges or universities. Other events like Inter Department moot court,Astrea etc many activities are done here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure is quiet expensive as compared to other institute whether Government or Private Institute. Being an Government institute it is very expensive and in response they are providing any extra facility not even equal to other institutes.

Fees and Financial Aid

College at its own does not provide any loan or scholarship facility but the government of punjab and central goverment provide scholarships like post matric scholarship to economically weaker section of the society.

Campus Life

No sports acivity is being carried out in the college as there is no space for the sports activity in the campus. College has its own moot court room where students can practise and boost their confidence.

Alumni/Alumna

As many i know there are very helpful and provide students guidance to score better in exams and to prepare for internal exams. Also provide support for moot court preparation to junior students. They also provide notes to students.

Admission

I want to be an lawyer so after 12th i prefered to do B.A.LL.B. from Panjab University.I given entrance test by filling up form available on the Panjab University website.After test a merit list was finalised considering both test marks and 22th class marks.

Faculty

Faculty is good and take up the course at very instersting way. Usually teachers take classes everyday. In the internal assesment which is of 20 marks teachers helps students to prepare their presentation.

Likes

Panjab University campus is huge and has a very safe environment. It has preserved nature and provides a balance to infrastructure along with natural environment. The campus includes various facilities and amenities.
The most prestigious place of my university is the AC Joshi Library. It includes a large collection of books which are related to course and books which are of general awareness
It also include a great and learned faculty of professors who are helpful and very cooperative. The professors teach with utmost professionalism and in a well articulated manner.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum focuses on all aspects of the subject like in law it includes civil and criminal both. The teaching merhod of every professor is variant but effective. The curriculum helps in creating confidence and prepares for outer world as it includes interactions and presentations with and in the class.

University for the smart people

Likes

Hostel is 24 /7 is open amd environment of hostels
Environment of university and staffs of the depts
Staff of hostel and security is 100% amd clean environment

Dislikes

Warden of hostel is very rude and she don't know how to treat students
Staff of uni department in not cooperative
Study is not well in the dept as according to fees

Course is good and as our integrated course so one year is saved by the course. And legal background is good fpr future. But fees is very high according to course. Overall course is good but faculty can be better

I liked the help provided by the faculty and teachers and also how they guide for the future.
The various committees here help students get internship opportunities.
The moot court sessions that help to get a close understanding.

Dislikes

The minimum attendance required that is 70 percentage
There are less rooms available for students and two classes are put in another building
There is a fee hike every year and it should be reduced

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very relevant and prepared using alot of time and effort by the faculty . It has alot of real life implications and using various other facilities they prepare us for practical implementation of knowledge into courts and othe legal proceedings . The areas of improvements are very less and only one comes to mind that is the the students with late admissions should be provided with lectures for preparation of the topics already covered . The exams are very well timed and the difficulty level is that of the top institutions of the world.

Likes

The faculty is very cooperative and encouraging for internships and extra-curricular activities
Various events, competitions like Moot courts, Med-Neg competitions, Debates, etc. are organised over the year
Senior-Junior bonding and mentoring culture is vert good.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not at par with the fees they charge.
The teaching aid equipment and study material is also not adequate.
The administration is not as efficient working as it should be

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of the courses is very well created, although the difficulty level is more. The curriculum also needs major upgradations with time including AI tools, proper use of technology with E-books in classrooms, proper usage of online teaching aid and study material. Softwares for plagiarism check and research resources are much needed. Also there's evolution coming in skill development courses with increasing seminars and guest lectures.

UILS Review

Placement Experience:

The career development cell of UILS deals with placement offers and internships. The aim of the career development cell of the university has always been to provide a conducive environment for the all-round professional growth of students by providing them with the best internship opportunities, skill development sessions and placement opportunities with consultancy firms, renowned law firms and litigation chambers based in Delhi and Chandigarh. In the year 2020, CDC was successful in securing internships at tier-2 law firms and assistantships under the professors from prestigious institutions like Oxford, Cambridge, City University of Hong Kong and Jindal Global University. But many people believe that the placement cell is not very active here. Most of the students in UILS prefers for litigation and for civil services, rather than opting for different firms. The college is very clear on its agendas and does not fool the students but still some students doubt it. Don't know why?

UILS- Make efforts and the world will be yours!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

Often it is seen that making a decision while selecting an appropriate college is a difficult choice. A college is judged on various parameters such as infrastructure, faculty, placements, exposure to the industry, fees structure, etc. The institute is good as it has a reasonable fee structure, exposure in terms of the internships, moots, MUNs, etc. organised here from time to time. That's why I opted for UILS. The teachers are well-qualified and provide good knowledge to the students. Except for a few teachers, all teachers are good. The curriculum gives a really good insight and knowledge. Exams are held twice a year as each year comprises two semesters and the exams are easy.

Remarks:

The environment is very friendly and supportive but it's very limited. It lacks in aspects of providing exposure and opportunities except moot Court competitions. It is not well equipped with regular summer schools and special courses in particular laws.

I took Panjab university test for entrance in law. I got 16 rank and got admission here. I opted for this university as it is one of the oldest , beautiful and best universities of India.

There is an enterance exam namely PUCET-PG for the admission. The difficulty level is moderate, it includes mathematics, english, logicl resoning.
